Historic course or not this place is rough but with many good points. The views get a solid 5 but it goes down from there. It's immediately obvious this course is not maintained well. A few holes seemed to have a little updating like new signs or asphalt but then the trash can looked like a burn barrel. Lay out was fun/interesting , t boxes fair. You can tell that are working on the greens. Some areas nicely groomed some left to seed. Fairways are awful and not well defined. Carts were in poor condition and dirty. However this is a hilly course and I bet the carts take a beating. Between the rough skinny paths and condition of the carts there might be some safety issues there. Price was fairly reasonable. I would love to play this course when it's in better shape

This is a very historic course with a beautiful view. We stayed at the Summit Resort, and decided to come here one evening. If you stay at the resort, you can play for free but the special is only on weekdays not weekends. We were told otherwise by the resort, so I chose to sit this one out! My husband played, and enjoyed the course very much. It's a bit confusing to get around, but the staff was helpful in showing us around. The course was going some renovations and was a little rough while we were there. The views are spectacular, and it was really cool to see all of the history (old ski lift) that was here from many years ago. I would recommend if you're staying in the Laurel Highlands!
