Cosmic bowling. I feel like a child, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Note the drop-down TV screens! Nice touch.
This is so random but there was a payphone in the bowling alley. A payphone.
My daughter celebrating after knocking a few pins down. Notice the bumpers
It's all about form.

Well we didn't get to bowl, it was too packed. A lot of birthday parties going on and to be truthful it was nice to see it busy like this.Lots of families and little kids. It was good really good to see it that way!!It was small and narrow, expensive $30 per lane per hour and $5 shoe rental. I thought it was pretty expensive....but I loved the tables near the ball return. I liked the layout of the Bowling alley

I have only been here once and me and my daughter had a great time. We only bowled one game because we had some errands to run. My daughter has been several times, with her school North. They have this thing call SR (not sure what that stands for)but it basically means you Mis behave. When you didn't have any of those you got enjoy some bowling. Well today we decided to go because she had a free game of bowling and a hot dog. Pretty cool! So for her and I today it was 9.50 and she got a free hot dog! What a nice gesture for good grades. It was super clean and a little busy but there was no line at the register the gentle man behind the counter was super friendly and quickly acknowledged my daughters good behavior coupon. Which was nice:-) Skyla my daughter set up the computer screens with our names and we were off! She killed me today with points but I had a great time! We will definitely be back!!

Brought a group of 20+ here on a Wednesday afternoon and had a great time. We called ahead of time to make sure that they could accord at our group and they were able to give pricing over the phone and also allowed us to place an order for food before we arrived. The gentleman welcomed our group, had our lanes ready to go, and our arrived came out within 5 minutes of us arriving. The bowling alley was very clean, there were plenty of bowling balls for everyone, and the bowling shoes were comfy too. The staff was super helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed.

The alley was super clean and everything worked extremely fast. It is super fun being able to choose what type of game/theme you play. However, when we went there was 45+ minute wait. When we did get to bowl, it was difficult finding a ball because each lane had 7+ balls. The lights and noise were a little too much for our liking but granted it was a late Friday night:

Suburban Lanes may not look like much, tucked away in a little shopping complex adjacent to a sports bar and surrounded by recalcitrant smokers in trucker hats. But look past the surface; don't judge a book by its cover. With the right information and the right planning, you can have a fun and reasonable time at this bowling alley. On the other hand, it can also be expensive and crowded if you don't know when to go. Follow the tips below to have a fun night out. After 6pm on weeknights, the prices go up a little bit and the lanes become crowded with league participation. Call ahead or see if you can reserve a lane for their competitive special pricing. Their deals change but take one of their current specials, for example: the Monday Bowling Blockbuster. From 9pm-12am, pay $30/lane for up to 6 people (shoe rental included). That means if you go with 3 people, you can bowl for up to 3 hours for only $10/person. That's pretty great.Guaranteed frustration will come if you don't plan ahead, however. Cosmic bowling on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons can mean increased prices and a ridiculous demographic of 6-9 year-olds. Still, if you feel like being a kid again, nothing's quite as fun as laser lights and glow-in-the-dark bowling balls. Added incentives to bowling include Kegler's, connected to the alley, which will serve you bar food and drinks. Also, they have enormous drop-down screens that cover the rear wall of the alley - and usually they have simulcasting of sports and teen pop music videos. I always try to get a lane with ESPN at the end of it.

Apparently, rather than having league night on a non-going-out night like Monday or Tuesday night, suburban lanes has chosen to hold league night on Thursday night. Which means that they won't have any lanes available until 9PM on Thursday nights, arguably a much more common night to go out than those previously mentioned. It's unclear to me why this information isn't prominently plastered on their website or Facebook page, to avoid wasting people's time when they are hoping to have a little fun on the typically less busy of the "Fridays." Beyond irritating.

Suburban lanes is definately the nicest place in Morgantown to go bowling. Over the years the owners have kept up with modern bowling technologies and offer well maintained lanes and a fantastic modern scoring system. Very simple to use and very reliable. Also nice is the convenience of having Keglers Sports bar attached for access to cold beers and drinks along with pretty decent food. Suburban has good hours and is almost always open. Now for the negatives..... This place can be pretty expensive if you don't take advantage of the numerous specials they offer. Also, this place can get very crowded at times. They have a lot of leagues both during the day and on week nights. So sometimes you need to get on a wait list in order to get a lane. Lastly, on Saturday nights they have DJ's and cosmic bowling with lasers and fog machines so the crowd is heavy and it's loud. So if that's not your cup of tee then keep that in mind. Over all this place compares favorably to a lot of Pittsburg bowling alleys despite having 24 lanes.

We held a regional sales meeting in Morgantown, WV and used Suburban Lanes for our team building event. It was perfect! The staff if friendly and attentive, the building including the bathrooms are spotless, and the food was delicious! I hope we have the opportunity to visit again!

Unless you're in a bowling league, forget this place. Two different times, we tried going in to play and the wouldn't let us because of leagues. Once was at 4pm on a Friday. Leagues didn't start until 6pm, and I saw about 15 lanes open. They said they had to 'get ready' for the leagues. I just wanted to play just one game with my two toddlers. So much for that.
