Southpointe Golf Club

We have a social membership at the club which allows us to participate in everything except golf. They have many activities during the warmer months which includes but is not limited to a bocce ball league, wine and whiskey events, a big holiday party in December and events around the holidays (Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day). They have a pool and feature a lot of events for the kids e.g. movies nights). Keep in mind though that all of these activities are an extra charge in addition to your membership fees. There is a $500 minimum food and beverage requirement every 6 months (Jan-Jun) and (Jul-Dec). There's also a $40 per month service charge for the servers, but that means you don't really need to tip. However, we always leave our server a few extra bucks. I love the ambiance. They are in the process of renovating. We like to eat at the bar or sit on the upstairs covered terrace and enjoy spectacular views of the golf course. The service is always outstanding -- attentive and friendly. Food: Breakfast and lunch are great value. I love their omelettes and some lunch items. Dinner, in my opinion, is not good value. It is pricey and mediocre. However, I love their "make your own pasta" on Wednesdays -$20 which includes a mini buffet of two salads, a soup, pizza, a couple of entrees (e.g. sausage and peppers, meatballs) and dessert. They also do on Thursdays a "Member Appreciation" entree which is also reasonably priced. Recently, we went on a Thursday. My husband got the Member Appreciation entree which was prime rib for $20 and I got the Spots and Crab for $42 (pic attached). All entrees come with choice of soup or salad and two sides. Prime rib was really good. Spot and Crab was okay. I really enjoy the club. It's a good hang and opportunities to get decent value.

Do not have your wedding here. I was the mother of the groom and placed a call to take some pressure off of the bride and groom. They never responded. When the wedding party arrived, they were told they couldn't bring in the alcohol they had with them. however, no alternative or food was provided for a really long time. When they moved from downstairs to their table, they weren't given drinks. Dinner was starting to be served and still no drinks. when I went to the staff to say the wedding party has no drinks, I was told the bar's closed! To the wedding party that has no drinks? The cake was terrible. The final nail in the coffin, clearing everything before it was over. I was dancing and went to take a drink of my water and it was gone. A good 15-30 minutes before the reception was over. I'd like to say the staff was nice, but I think them acting like the reception was over before it was over tells you everything you need to know. You should also notice on their site that all of the good reviews are years old.

This is such a pretty club! I do not attend as a member, but I have attended a wedding and a rehearsal dinner here. It is a great venue to host an event! The décor at both events has been phenomenal!! The weddings here are also all inclusive. You get everything for 1 price and they have different packages you can choose from. You also get a round of golf included in those packages. I would recommend looking into this venue if you are hosting an event any time soon!

Recently played a round of golf and had dinner! Service and drinks were wonderful. The server knew when to approach and refill as well as offer fresh cocktails and beer. Food was hot and well seasoned. We had a wonderful business dinner after a great day of golf.

I had my sons baptism at Southpointe Golf Club and everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect. The room is elegant and spacious. I worked with Heather from the beginning and she was professional and prompt from the first email. Her food suggestions were delicious. She even helped decorate the room for me so I didn't have to go there the morning of. She was attentive and present at the event and made sure everything was going smoothly and on time! I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and we got so many compliments on the space, food, etc! Loved everything about it!!!

Pro shop here is potentially the worst in golf. Every time we play here they put a group or three out on the tenth tee right in front of us. Leads to a 2.5-3 hour back nine. Ruins the day. Never worth coming here. So many better options with a staff that is nice and knows what is going on.

This is a great golf course, that truly tests both your distance and accuracy. The greens can be tough, but roll very true. The dining room and food is excellent, and the staff is always accomodating. Membership is worth a look if you reside in the South Hills.

terrible place terrible food the when you walk into the club you see the people that should be making your food the ones that touch our food just sitting on the side smoking I think they sit around more then they cook. there are so many better places to eat then here and think again before getting the membership I would atleast want something that justifies how much I spend to be apart of this club

I'd agree for sure the grounds and the scenery here are worth the visit . As for the staff and what I've witnessed I will never go back wedding or no wedding . Bad experience on top of bad experience. It's as though their training of personal is we win at all cost .. 3 people at this point I've had to deal with have been nothing short of obnoxious. There are far to many great places to go the appreciate customers have respect and class about how their operation runs . Quite frankly my money is better spent anywhere other than here . Even if they made my situation right at this point , the damage is done . Cost me a few hundred bucks , cheep lesson for me however it's my intent that it's costly for them . Some real jerks over there !!!
