Southgate Pizza Boardman

Picking up pizza! This is my favorite pizza shop in Boardman, and that's saying a lot! This is one of only a few places where you can pick up a slice or two and have your choice of toppings on it (pepperoni, sausage, extra cheese, etc.). Most other places won't sell slices, and of those that will, you can only get it plain... no toppings! That's just one of the reasons I love Southgate. Great sauce, nice full crust and excellent tasting toppings.

I've been telling myself I need to try this pizza since my usual pizza place hasn't been up to par last few visits. I finally bit the bullet tonight and placed an order. I was greeted on the phone call by a friendly employee who took my order quickly and quoted me a 20 minute wait time for pickup.I arrived right at the 20 minute mark and again received a friendly greeting and smile from the employee. She confirmed my pickup information and took my payment. I couldn't wait to get home to see and finally try the pizza.The pizza was definitely made fresh to order, was hot and looked extremely appetizing. It tasted as good as it looked. The sauce was a little sweet and the crust was thick, but airy. I will definitely add this to my repertoire of local pizza places when I'm craving a reasonably priced and tasty pizza night!

I've been going to Southgate for years. I think they have the best pizza in town. Love the taste and those who work there are very friendly and helpful,

Criminally underrated! A well kept secret and hidden gem of the YO. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! The ladies who work there are all very pleasant and nice and the wings are outstanding. The pizza sauce has changed from a nice rich sauce to a sweeter one which depending on your taste you may or may not like but imo, one of the best pizza places in Youngstown, hands down.

They usually have a two-topping pizza special for under 10 bucks... and it's GOOD... that's pretty reasonable. They also have a variety of other menu options, including good chicken wings, salads and Italian sausage (among other) sandwiches. I think this place is a bit of a gem, especially for people in the immediate neighborhood... very convenient, light-traffic location. Easy in and out - always friendly staff. I'm not saying it's heaven on earth, but I have no hesitation giving it 5 stars. Solid product.

This place has unbelievably delicious pizza. We usually get the white pizza with peppers and/or a sheet pizza with sausage and pepperoni. I have had pizza all over the country in awesome places like Tampa, FL, San Diego, CA, Denver, CO, etc. and this place beats them all. One criticism would be to make a few updates and allow contemporary features like online ordering, however though, it is a gem and why should it change in order to keep up with commercialized places like PooPoo John's. Excellent place and you will not find me going anywhere else for pizza.

Had to wait because the pizza was burnt and remade. Pizza was good next Sat once crisped up on toaster oven.

Great pizza! My family has been looking for something different from all the processed chain type pizza and we found Southgate. Very delicious and friendly staff. We'll be coming here often in the future.

Great pizza. Drive from New Middletown to get there pizza. Best around great service friendly counter help. Highly recommend

Here's the thing about Southgate. The pizza, when served fresh out of the oven, is pretty good. It is also on my block, so picking it up is no big deal. That alone, however, is not enough to get it to 5 stars. Why is Southgate so good? Simple, the bbq wings are fantastic, the bread is fantastic, and their pizza COLD! I am a big fan of pizza in the morning after for breakfast. Let me tell you, Southgate has the best cold pizza I've ever had. Highly recommend!
