This market hasn't been open for several years. Day,time, and location were all problems. There is a new Wednesday evening market at South Side Works during the summer months. It was a bit sparse but will grow.

I love this little farmers market. I have been visiting for a couple years now, about once a month or so, during the spring/summer and fall months. They don't have a ton of vendors (normally) but it's still worth it to stop by and see what goodies are available. In the past, I have found some awesome homemade pastas/pasta sauces, salsas and of course- fresh produce. Parking can sometimes be tough, but you can park on East Carson Street or in the residential streets.

I've been going to this one for years. I discovered it while in college and it's actually the first Farmers Market I'd ever been to. It was amazing! Lots of fresh produce that's dirt cheap on a poor college students budget!I still appreciate the freshness and importantly the cheapness of a good farmers market! Most of the farmers I recognize when I stop into the other city markets. Always friendly and helpful. It's also a perk to have the salsa dude at this one, because his salsa is awesome! It's nice because it's not too big, so navigating it is super easy. Just make sure you get there early because, not surprisingly, it gets busier once the workers are out. Parking is also difficult, but it's like that almost anywhere in the city!

From mid-May until around Thanksgiving, if you want fresh produce in South Side you'll find it on Tuesdays from 3:30-7:30pm in the parking lot at 18th & Carson. Spices, homemade salsas and marinades, and even baked goods and cheese! And balloon animals without clowns!Spend less for better quality fruit and vegetables than the grocery stores carry. Why be inside when you don't have to?

This is a great farmers market. It's not too big, but the fruit and veggies that are offered are great! I stopped by to visit & the farmer let me try a strawberry.. Seriously the most amazing strawberry I've ever tasted! I left with a basket(?) of strawberries ($5) and peaches ($5). I also noticed blueberries, lettuce, broccoli and some other things. Check it out and support local business and farmers! Located in the parking lot at E Carson & 18th on a tuesssdaay 330-730pm

This is the absolute worst "farmers market" I have ever experienced. I wish I could get the 20 minutes of my life back that it took me to walk there and back home. I show up, reusable tote in hand, ready to fill it with fresh produce, meats and maybe some eggs/cheeses and am a little bit skeptical when the parking lot where the market is located is pretty empty. There were 4 tents and a little booth. At first, I thought the booth at the front was information, but upon further inspection, I see it is people trying to get me to sign a petition. I steer clear of the petitioners and go to check out the vendors. Less doesn't always mean bad--maybe they are all family-owned farms who sell everything...or not. There was literally no produce, meat, eggs or cheese at the farmer's market. One booth was another propaganda-type setup, with someone handing out information on something, one was hummus/salsa, one was selling plants (but not herbs that were usable...) and the other was selling fudge or something. I saw someone else walking and asked if it was just early in the season or something and the guy said no, this location is just terrible and vendors don't go to it. Noted. I trekked home with my empty reusable tote and went to Giant Eagle later that night. FAIL.
