In the past maybe there was a collective "attitude" but, as a new player this year I have found the staff to be universally helpful. Today, as I was putting my clubs in my car, a member of the grounds crew pulled up and offered to take my rented pull cart to the cart barn. it was much appreciated, after walking the nine hole course, I was ready for a beer!

TPC @ south park is a special place. The conditions are very much improving and it is a great place to play a match against your buddies. Like this one time my partner (who was playing horribly) duck hooked his second shot on the part 5 17th then proceeded to hole out for eagle. It was legendary. Our opponents cried. new tee time system is nice.

I couldn't agree more with Liz and Alexis's reviews, with the one exception being that I am a white male and the starter was exactly as Liz described towards me as well. I can completely understand the 4 and 5 star reviews, because the course is in immaculate condition and is next to nothing to play. If you pick the right day, you can have a fun day. I played yesterday and walked 9 holes for $8.45, right around 2 hours, no waiting (they don't take tee times, they leave that in the wholly incapable hands of "The Starter".) Yesterday, I had a 5-star experience.I tried to repeat that very nice experience today. After signing in and asking to play 9 holes on the 18 hole course (as I had done 24 hours prior with no issues) I was told to wait to be called. 30 minutes later, I was called over the loudspeaker to come pay and start. Upon paying to play on the 18-hole course, I was told that was "no problem, there's no one out there, and no one waiting, just show your stub to the starter and you can go out". It made sense to me, there was no one else waiting, so if they wanted to send me out as a single, I was ready to go.However, when I got to the starter, before I could say anything, he told me that I was being paired with another gentlemen and was going to be playing on the 9-hole course today. Just like that. I explained that I wanted to play on the 18-hole course. If he didn't want to send me out as a single golfer, I offered to wait to be paired if that was an issue. I thought "how can this possibly be an issue? (1) I just did this the day before with no issues, and (2) there was no one else waiting to play. Why won't this guy just let me golf?" But no, he already made a pairing, and his pairings are final. He is The Starter. As Jim Halpert says to Dwight, "God, this is so sad. This is the smallest amount of power I've ever seen go to someone's head."Me: So, I am going to play this cour-Starter: Nooo, you're being paired now and you're playing the 9-hole course.Me: When I paid I was tol- S: The girl in the clubhouse doesn't start you. I start you. Me: Um, okay, so I came to play this course, if you're telling me I can't play this course and I have to play the 9 hole course, then I guess I'll get my money back? S: We don't do refunds. Me: expletive Then, after going back into the clubhouse and being lectured by the head staff on the absolute authorities and prerogatives of The Starter, not to mention the incomprehensible challenges The Starter faces every day, as well as the unique advantages of the no tee-time, jerk-you-around method that South Park chooses to employ, he did give me my money back. Rude, Dismissive, and Condescending should be the names of the three all-stars in that old boys' starters bullpen. If he doesn't know you from the old neighborhood, you're basically a groupie trying to get backstage and he's a bouncer. It is a shame a course this naturally pretty, this convenient, and this well maintained, is run by the worst management I have yet seen on a golf course anywhere.

This is a great public course for the journeyman golfer in most of us. I play the 9 hole course with my league - The South Park Men's 60+ League. It's an honest course...not too challenging and offers a good range of challenges. There is a nice 18 hole option as well for folks that like a longer day. The courses are maintained at a level you'd expect from.a municipal course. Not exceptional, but decent. The prices are low. We've been playing here for years, snd I don't expect that to change. A good place to chase the little white frustrating ball!

As a public golf course this is a well maintained course. The courses are maintained at a level you'd expect froma municipal course. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or someone who is looking to get on the course for the first time this is the place for you. The fees are priced right and the course doesn't have a ton of traffic and slow play. I've been playing here for a couple years and love it! Always come back as long as its open.

Was told over the phone I could come play the back 9 then play the 9 hole course because leagues were going on and I still wanted to play 18. But after driving all the way out there they completely changed what they agreed to on the phone.

This is one tough coarse the layout has many uphill approaches which make wedge distances 9,8,7,6 irons. Fair and has room for your to spray it a bit but some holes cancel one side or the other with trees. Inexpensive for the condition. The New Golf Coarse Super is SUPER. Mid June and all tees, greens and fairways and rough are green, cut with sharp blades making good definition. The greens are in good shape roll at about a 10/11, fair. It gets crowded bc the word is out. No tee times. Try it, you'll like it.............

Course is in great shape. But the place is run by the rudest people you will meet. Won't take a tee time and the pace is terrible. If you go at a good time you'll have a good experience but if you go during a busy time I assure you you'll regret it.

The course is in great condition and it's a great layout but the staff is just as bad as ever. The people who take your money are very nice, the starters and rangers however are rude, lazy, and oblivious to the way a golf course should operate and it's been that way at South Park for at least 30 years. The fact that they refuse to take tee times makes things even worse. You end up with too many golfers on the course at one time causing 5-1/2 hour rounds on the weekends, with people playing in groups of anywhere between 1 and 6 players. When you need a Ranger they are nowhere to be found, but if your foursome is playing in front of their buddies twosomes they will be all over you! It's a shame this course refuses to move into even the 20th century, let alone the 21st. They are doing the tax payers of the county a disservice.
