Sooo Delicious

I stopped by here this past Thursday evening with my wife and twins for dinner. Every Thursday night our neighborhood has a food truck come in and on this night it happened to be Sooo Delicious. This food truck is painted blue and more of a sprinter van than your traditional food truck but so long as it works for them, why question it. On the day that they were here they had two people working the interior, one taking orders while the other was cooking. Then they also had a speaker with some music on it with color shifting LED lights which my twins enjoyed watching.For dinner on this evening both my wife and I decided to get the 3 piece chicken platter and then we ordered our twins the smoked chicken Mac crackin bowl. The menu described the chicken platter as coming with sooo delicious chicken and served with their signature cornbread waffle while the bowl came with house made mac and cheese and choice of sauce. While ordering I was asked if I would like the sauce on it or on the side and chose the side and the worker as let me know they were doing fried chicken instead of smoked chicken on that evening for the Mac and cheese bowl which wasn't a problem. All our meals ended up costing $20 and came with chips and drinks. After paying I was told that it would be 12 minutes and my twins headed over to the playground to play. 35 minutes later our food was finally ready and we headed on home to eat it. As I started opening the dishes to sort them out I was surprised that all 3 looked exactly the same with 3 pieces of chicken, half a waffle, chips and Mac and cheese. Then the sauce was also on the chicken for all 3 and we had only received 2 drinks (not that I care but worth mentioning). The good news was that I thought everything at least tasted good. The chicken was crispy and I enjoyed the sauce (golden BBQ?) and actually wish that there had been more. Then the mac and cheese had a great cheesy flavor to it and last but not least was the sweet yet savory signature waffle which had flavors that I enjoyed but couldn't pin down. So overall, they at least delivered on flavor and by the time I was finished I was full.The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't head back here again in the future. While I thought that the food was good, as other Yelpers have mentioned it's expensive and took a long time to receive and I still don't understand how a Mac crackin bowl and 3 piece chicken platter ended up being the exact same thing.

Omg guys! I've been dreaming of this food for a while, and today was the day! I finally got to eat this good again and it was amazing! From the delicious chicken, to the amazing cornbread waffle, and the delectable Mac & Cheese! To die for!!

We stopped at Trace Brewing last night and Sooo Delicious was the Food Truck. The staff working were super nice and it was quick to order- they said to come back in 10 min, however it ended up being about 25min for our food to be ready. I ordered the smokey chicken coup sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. My hubby ordered the jalapeño, cheddar and bacon waffle and we ordered a plain waffle for my daughter. All of the food was truly delicious. 5 stars on the taste. It was just SO expensive. Like VERY expensive for a food truck and I didn't like that food prices were not listed on the menu. I would 100% eat the food again, I just wish it was more reasonably priced.

Food was delicious. Got their signature box and it had a little bit of everything. The wait was not long, and I had plenty of leftovers.

The Gentleman at the window greeted us with a smile! We went to the Soul Food Festival yesterday and am glad we did! The Cornbread Waffles were absolutely mouth watering! The presentation also caught my eye with an Orchid in the corner of the take out box and a Dum Dum Sucker in the other. Overall great experience from Service to Food and will definitely recommend to my Family and Friends!

Sooo Delicious was booked for an event in my neighborhood on Saturday but never showed. Very disappointing. I do not recommend booking. Consistent with previous reviews.

Very disappointed. This Food truck was in our neighborhood. No prices posted. Very expensive for mediocre food. I ordered the Po Boy chicken sandwich but they didn't have it. Second choice was the chicken and waffles. They said it included three chicken tenders, but my order only had two and a cornbread waffle for $20. Hubby had 3 small chicken tenders with Mac n cheese, a few chips and 1/2 waffle. Also $20. Very poor value. Service was ok. Took about 15 minutes for the order. Would not ever order from them again.

My complex does food trucks often during the nicer weather months and this was the first time my husband and I both had off to try it. I can honestly say, the food was as the company title states: sooo delicious! I got the beef sandwich and my husband got the chicken platter. Both came with Mac n cheese, his came with a waffle and mine came with chips and then we each got a pop and lollipop! The sandwich was definitely messy but I honestly couldn't care less because the flavor was there and my husband and I got a good laugh out of it! The person that took our order was very nice and had just a great attitude! We loved the music he had playing from the truck too! I really hope they come back so I can try something else on their menu!!

The waffles were amazing, and the chicken was cooked just perfect. Not sure what the sauces they put on the chicken, but it was incredible! The guys around the food truck were unbelievably nice, and I'm so glad I tried it out!

So... we drove from Ohio to Pittsburgh for the Taste of Burgh Soul Food Fest and boy were we extremely disappointed. I love chicken and waffles so I thought I'd give this a truck a try. The guy who was taking the orders was giving out samples of the "cornbread" waffle, but advertised other flavors such as the red velvet waffle on his board. I decided to purchase the red velvet waffles which came with chicken, and Mac n cheese. After receiving my order, we walk away to find seating for the concert. It was at this time, that I opened the sealed box only to find no red velvet waffles (he chose to give me the cornbread waffles instead), the chicken was EXTREMELY dark and appeared burnt, the Mac n cheese had almost no cheese in it. I'm sorry to say, but this was not good at all and we were highly disappointed. After the concert, I approached the food truck with all the uneaten food in hand, and expressed my dissatisfaction in the food to the original guy taking orders. I explained how the chicken was burnt and the waffles were not the ones I originally asked for. The guy proceeded to get very upset and irritated, he even lied in my face by telling me that I didn't tell him that I wanted the red velvet waffles which I very clearly did. He became very argumentative and at this point I just wanted my money back. He refused to refund me my money citing "No refunds!" However he did at one point offered to make the "waffles" over, but we were over it at this point, he was very rude, and we had to get back on the road. We are "foodies" whom travel around the world visiting different states/cities and trying food. I hate to say it but ALL the food that we tasted in Pittsburgh (especially this truck), was not up to par. It safe to say that we will NEVER be returning to "Pittsburgh!!" Side note: The food I purchased from this truck was overpriced. I also noticed that the 1st number of the telephone for this business appears to be different from the number in the photo that I provided. I'm not sure if that's a mistake or not because all the other numbers are the same. Nevertheless, this is the same food truck.
