SOMI is one of the four restaurants in the City Kitchen food hall. SOMI's menu lists appetizers such as summer rolls and edamame, salads, rice bowls in over a dozen flavors, several noodle stir-frys, and soups such as ramen and pho.To order food from SOMI, customers sit at a table of their own choosing, and they use their cell-phone cameras to scan a tabletop barcode to access the restaurant's menu and pay. The cooks and waiters usually bring foods to the table in about 10 minutes. In the past two years, I have eaten a few meals at SOMI. For my first visit, I ate a vegetable-shrimp pho, and my husband ate a beef ramen, and we enjoyed these soups.During my second visit, I ordered the Bibimbap with my choice of protein, which was bulgogi beef. Most of the bowl was rice and vegetables. I had expected more beef, but I enjoyed its moderately spicy flavor. My third order was for tom kha ramen. It consisted of a delicious broth and lots of fresh noodles and vegetables.

My absolute favorite place at City Kitchen! All the restaurants are good but there's something extra special about Somi. My favorite is the Tom yum soup with rice noodles and shrimp. It's exquisite!!! They make an amazing bulgogi bowl my husband eats every time too. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious.

Good flavor but not authentic. First of all, I didn't know it was inside of the city kitchen until I read the reviews. So it took me a little bit to find the spot. The food is so overpriced(or is it just nowadays price?) Authentic bibimbap would come with couple different kinds of stir fried vegetables along with the choice of protein. This one was just meat and sunny side up egg. The sauce was already mixed in with the chicken, make it no room for customization. Usually sauce comes on the side so one can decide how spicy/salty they prefer. The kimchi was good, but the other three pickled vegetables were on the saltier side. Good choice if you happen to be near by but I probably would not make a trip over to seek it out.

Very good Ramen, with excellent noodles, fresh Thai Basil, and delicious broth. Outstanding comfort food, but perhaps lacking complexity. The Boba Tea was good, in particular the tapioca was deliciously moist with the right amount of chewyness. The staff was helpful and welcoming.

Somi was such a wonderful surprise today. The bulgogi egg roll was the best I've ever had anywhere in my life. I don't take that lightly. I love food. Wow! So crunchy and flavorful! The sauce it came with was amazing and packed a punch. I also poured that on the rice and it was awesome. Loved the bulgogi rice bowl. I'm obsessed with bulgogi. Any time I go to a Korean Restaurant, that's what I must have. It didn't disappoint. It was so crunchy and well seasoned. I'll be dreaming of this meal for a while. Next time, I'm getting my egg rolls again and trying the spicy tuna poke bowl. I'd come constantly if I lived closer. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Wow!

Stopped in for a working lunch and definitely wasn't disappointed!Somi is located in Galley Bakery Square, which features a few different restaurant windows as well as a bar. There's indoor and outdoor seating available, and when we stopped in there were plenty of dogs on the patio. Bakery Square is a pretty trendy area -- it's home of the Pittsburgh Google campus, some cool new condos, and coworking spaces -- so seeing lots of young professionals and their furry friends was no surprise. The Galley seems easy enough to navigate overall once you know what you're doing. The girl at the Somi window answered my questions, but here are a few things it might help to know before you go:1. Grab your table first. Each one has a number, so drop your stuff and then head to the window of your chosen restaurant to order. 2. Your food will be brought to your table. You don't have to hang around and wait for the order to be up -- once you give them your table number, they'll bring out your meal when it's ready.3. Leave your trash on the table. Someone is usually walking around to clear dishes. They might even get to you before you get up to leave. But you don't have to take your dishes anywhere when you're done. Now for the food itself. Somi had a pretty decent selection of Asian-inspired bowls and plates. I went with the lemongrass chicken curry, and it was SO GOOD. I haven't gotten anything at a restaurant that I liked quite that much in a long time. Came with fresh lime wedges to squeeze over the bowl, and it was *chefs kiss* delicious. We also sprang for the limeade. They had a couple of fancy flavors. They were out of the lavender (and the boba bubbles -- you can order your specialty drinks with boba if you want), but the sparkling limeade was still light and refreshing.Overall it was a lovely spring lunch on a lovely spring day. Very much recommend checking Somi out. Will have to stop back to try some of the other restaurants Galley Bakery Square has to offer!

I got some kind of spicy pork belly bowl. One it wasn't spicy at all. But I have a very high spice threshold so that's fine. The pork belly was eh and I loved pork belly. And the worst part was that the rice was so hard. I put my chopsticks through and lifted it like a lollipop. Expensive and not worth it at all.

Good mix of Asian inspired food. I ordered spicy gochujang dry ramen and Korean fries.Their Korean fries are a great shareable appetizer. The portion size for mains is also pretty good. The food was presented pretty well. Service was pretty quick. The staff is always pleasant and helpful with questions about the menu. Parking is easily available in Bakery Square.

I got the Tom Kha ramen with chicken, which was pretty good (4/5)! There was a lot of chicken and veggies in it! Somi is part of the city kitchen food court, so there are tons of options and other restaurants right there. Because of that, service is a bit more on your own. It is a great environment to meet up with friends, especially if everyone wants something different.

The Bulgogi bowel was too salty, we added on extra beef and vegetables I was tweeking for that Korean dish I've had it before it was delicious, but not today.
