This place is the real deal. We were tasting around the different menus at the Galley and decided to give these guys a try. So glad we did. Only had the jerk and curry chicken but if you're a fan of either, I highly recommend. Proper, authentic flavors. Owner seemed like a genuinely nice guy. My only critique is that I wish more came in an order!

I checked out Sokah, a Caribbean barbecue spot, that's located in Federal Galley! The staff was super nice and it took a while to get our order but to be fair we got a lot of things! We tried a build your own smoked platter with a little bit of pretty much everything along with one of their bowls, the Sizzlin' Someting. Everything was really tasty and well seasoned. Shoutout to the oxtail that was literally falling apart, the super tender brisket, and the cornbread and mac and cheese that we absolutely inhaled. I was obsessed with the bowl and I'm still thinking about it a week later - the flavors are went so well together and the coconut rice paired nicely with the curry chicken. It is on the pricey side but I would say it's worth a try since there's not a ton of barbecue places in Pittsburgh, especially Caribbean barbecue.
