This pizza was awesome!!
Sandwiches were huge (this is half), funnel cake fries were novel & picked up a chocolate covered cheesecake slice for the road.
Clean calm feel to this place inside. The selection is amazing from subs to pizza to soup and salads and don't forget the frozen treats.

Showed up and it was busy as usual. The ladies working the counters were fast and courteous getting our orders. This is a walk up food order counter style restaurant. It's clean even if old. Our food was good This is the steak and cheese! Well 1/4 of it lol

Lots of options on the menu! The steak salads are normally are "go-to" but the soups and subs are always great too!

Whenever I'm visiting family in PA, I always go to Sid's. So many super good sandwiches to choose from! If you order a sandwich I recommend a half-sandwich unless you are with someone that wants to split a whole one. I also recommend ordering it baked. They do a good job here of getting the cheese bubbly and it baking it gives a good crunch to the sandwich. The salads are good here too. Substantial sizes of everything on the menu so go there hungry!

Our first and last visit to Sids. While in the area doing some shopping, a local recommended Sid's for a good bite to eat. When we entered into the little round building we were greeted by a line of customers waiting to place an order. One gentleman seated by the door said he had been waiting 30 minutes for a cold cut hoagie. The place came highly recommended so we decided to stay. The cashier was young and seemed new, however had no mentor or trainer. She took down our order, which had to be repeated several times. A chicken salad sub turned into a cheesesteak, then an actual chicken salad, and was once again corrected to be a chicken salad sub. We paid our tab and took a seat. After realizing other customers were provided their drinks at the time of order, I returned to wait in line and request the drinks we purchased. Nearly 35 minutes later our order was shouted out a small window. It was prepared wrong. The chicken salad sub was a chicken cheesesteak and the other hoagie was toasted and it should have been a fresh roll. The chicken salad sub was quickly corrected. The food itself was okay, certainly not fantastic. Through all the struggle I was told the chicken salad was bland and we make it better at home.If your ever in Forksville, PA, stop at the Forksville General Store and have a real sub. You won't regret it.

You could go to a national chain, and the food would be good and predictable. However, little restaurants like these are the vanishing slices of Americana that can be very precious. In the words of my late father in law, "the little guy's got to eat too."

Sooooo very delicious!! Who knew there was such a thing as funnel cake fries but I do know and these are AMAZING!! Had the Italian sub, the chicken parm sub and a kids pizza. It was a great and the atmosphere is cozy and fun as it is in a dome style structure. Highly recommend!!

I had phoned my lunchtime order in from work. I had requested a spinach salad with eggs, red onion, croutons, and pepperoncini. I was told to pick it up in 20 minutes. I arrived after 20 minutes, and my salad was still not ready. Finally, I'm allowed to check out and get back to work. When I open their salad container I notice that they only gave me two of the four things I had requested. I phoned them immediately to find out how they wanted to compensate me for their mistake -- because I just paid ~$9 for a salad that I could not eat. However, my phone call is handled by someone picking up the restaurant's phone and hanging up on me. I then have to drive back to the restaurant to get my lunch order right. Whenever I explained to the counter person what was missing from my salad, she said, 'Oh! We just ran out of croutons'. I said, 'Why didn't you tell me this whenever I was placing my order -- because I would have made a different food choice.' She said, 'Because we just ran out'. I then reminded her that I was missing the peperoncini. She then gave me a small container.Next, I wanted an apology for way I was treated on the phone. I said, 'Why did you hang up on me whenever I phoned in'? She said, 'Oh! we would never hang up on anyone'! (as if to say I was lying). Rather than escalating things, I told her that I will not be back to their restaurant due to their lousy customer service. My remark was met with a blank stare from the counter person.I ended up throwing the salad out and going hungry for lunch!!! Apparently common human decency and customer service are a thing of the past.
