Well... I can't believe I have NEVER been in here ever and I've been visiting Sewickley,PA now for over 4 yrs. I will say the food was really good! I had the Crispy Chicken w/Fries, and my friend had the Cheeseburger w/Fries. The staff is attentive and the ambiance was just right. They are open late (11:20a-12am), which is great because everything else in the neighborhood is closed by like 9-10pm during the week and some are not even open on Sundays or Mondays. I will definitely be back- and can't wait to try some more of the menu. It's nice to watch sports while enjoying a beverage and some good bar food. I just wish they had some darts or shuffleboard ... maybe a Video game?

The hostess/waitress directed us to pick a table while she sat at the bar. Great first impression. It is obvious by the huge selection of beers that food isn't the focus of the business. Our mistake. We selected this establishment because it was open on Mondays in Sewickley. We started with the cheese quesadilla. It was fried. Odd. The ranch dressing was very good. The Basket of Boneless chicken with dry seasoning was spicy enough that a seasoned wing eater was scraping off the seasoning. I ordered the Shrimp Poor Boy. I was pleasantly surprised to see the large shrimp. The breading was very spicy. Had it been cooked with the wings? The sandwich was large enough to serve 2 people. The majority of fries were small leftover pieces. When we left, there were 3 other tables filled with 4 people at the bar. Only one table was ordering food. The other groups were ordering beer. When I received the check. I actually laughed out loud. Suggested tipping was between 43% and 60%. I chose Other. So if you like beer, this is a place for you. If you like food, pass on this establishment.

Great place to grab a drink. Kid friendly as well. We went for a quick lunch without two kids and felt really comfortable not bothering anyone. Unfortunately the food was not great. The fries are reeeeallly good but it kind of ended there. The chicken (tenders and fried chicken sandwich) was really dry and bland. It was almost like the seasoning was left out of the batter. Super bummed. My husband ordered a sandwich which was wrapped in aluminum foil even though we were staying to eat. Unfortunately the entire sandwich got stuck to the foil and made it pretty hard to eat. He was worried about eating foil with every bite.Overall, a place I would go drink, and eat the fries again!

So my wife and I stopped by Sidelines on a Saturday night around 7. I was concerned about having to wait but was able to get a table in the bar area. We sat down but waited about five minutes or so before the bartender came over. I ordered a Miller Lite draft ($4.50) and my wife had a water. I ordered a dozen spicy garlic wings and fries. My wife ordered a chicken special. It took at least 20 to 25 minutes for our order to come out. The wings were a fairly good size. They had a pretty good kick to them but I didn't notice the garlic part. The fresh cut fries were outstanding with the exception I got mostly little bits.I enjoyed my visit but there is definitely room for improvement.

Sidelines is a nice low maintenance (paper plates) place to stop in for beers and pub style apps and mains. They place is split into a bar area and a table seating area with a good amount of space that can also accommodate a larger group. The service is pretty good and the food comes out in fairly good time as well. They have a ton of beers which are available on draft or bottle/can. Overall we had a great experience but I must say that the zucchini fries were saturated in garlic butter which was a bit much. That won't keep me from coming back so I look forward to future visits. Great place to stop with friends and family. They also have plenty of tvs to keep up with whatever game might be on which is a plus. Enjoy!

This is a trendy, casual saloon in the heart of Sewickley village. Its popularity is evidenced by its open hours, 11:30 am to midnight, seven days a week. It is a place to see and be seen, from young to old, families to singles, plebeian to patrician. Decor is worn and spartan, dark earth colors, 1920s atmosphere with plenty of tv screens for sports. The food is mediocre at best. We three adults, dining on a late Sunday afternoon, ordered a hamburger, pulled pork sandwich and a turkey club. The burger was bland. The pulled pork sandwich was okay, but we later learned that the requested bbq sauce was an additional seventy five cents. (It should have been included, in our opinion). The club was a seven inch cube with three layers of bread, hard as a rock, impossible to eat without silverware. It was tasty, in a hot grilled kind of way. The menu is extensive, too much so. A lot of choices, for all tastes. Our feeling is that a few specialty items, prepared well, would benefit the diners here. This is a great place for a few beers, but not so much for the food. There is a discount for paying cash. Bring your CPA along to explain how it's calculated. We couldn't figure it out. Our waiter gave a vague explanation then walked away.Despite all, we enjoyed ourselves, due mainly to the cheerful atmosphere. But we won't be coming back for the food. A beer? Maybe.

2/6/25, I decided to stop in and try some food from Sidelines Beer House in Sewickley after my day of work. When I walked in, I asked the folks sitting near an empty seat at the bar if it was available, which it was, and I sat down. The bar was busy, but they had 2 people working. I sat there for about 5-10 minutes patiently. When I saw the bartender stop and look around, I waved my hand and asked for a menu. I ordered a burger to go and a beer while I waited. When she brought over my drink, I thanked her and let her know she could close me out whenever she was ready since that was all I'd be getting. Nothing special or out of the ordinary about our interactions, typical bar experience aside from her visible bad mood because it was busy; but I can empathize with that. She brought me the check back to sign, and I thanked her again. As soon as I looked at the check, I saw she put my customer seat name as "C Dumb Bi*ch. With Braids". I was really shocked by that and started to shake nervously because I HATE confrontation. There was 100% absolutely nothing to have that be what she put in for my seat name. That was absolutely not called for. I did NOT want to interact with this person (Kari A) again, so I waited until my food came out and showed the food runner the slip and asked for a manager. She said she didn't know if one was there?? OK. So I told the other bartender. She just said sorry a few times and to get home safe, dismissing me. I was so uncomfortable. It ruined what was supposed to be a nice wind down from a very long day of deliveries in the rain. Needless to say, 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Sidelines is in desperate need of some TLC from the owners. What was once a wonderful place for wings, burgers, and beer in Sewickley is now just consistently inconsistent. Wings are rarely hot and the flavors are never the same. The kitchen is also almost comically slow. Sewickley has been really good to Sidelines over the years. I think it's time that Sidelines returns the favor.

Went over for lunch today. Was only 7 people in the place and it took 45 minutes to get our food. Got steak hoagie and fries. Hoagie was good after finally getting it but fries were burnt to a dark brown. Waitress saw I didn't eat them and didn't even ask if something was wrong. Can see why not too many people come here for lunch
