ShuBrew Handcrafted Ales and Food

Excellent food and atmosphere! I don't know how I didn't know of this rooftop bar sooner, but it was a great evening! I got a chicken sandwich. Pesto was divine and the smoked tomatoes added a depth of flavor on some delicious crunchy sourdough. Fries were seasoned to perfection! This place is a great spot for Zeli, and it's worth it if you're look for some good grub and drinks!

We stopped in for their Sunday Brunch with live jazz! 10/10 recommend! We had the fried chicken and pancakes, shrimp & grits, a side of potato hash, and an order of biscuits. The biscuits are from Callie's hot lil biscuit in Charleston, SC and they were absolutely delicious! The chicken was nice and juicy, pancakes fluffy! Shrimp and grits was on the smaller side for what I'm used to, but honestly was a digestable amount. I wouldn't have been able to finish it, had there been any more on the plate! I also had a virgin Bloody Mary and it was the perfect amount of spice! I'm currently pregnant, but usually enjoy their juicy beers when I am able to partake! They have other mocktails and great soda available and it's very family friendly if you have little ones or are worried to go bc of brew being in the name--it's more of a quaint little sit down restaurant feel than a bar feel.

We really have enjoyed this restaurant over the years and watching it grow. We live 45 minutes away and always try to stop when we are in the area. We got the general shus and the fried rice. Both were good and great portions. My son got a cheeseburger and French fries which were super fresh and very responsibly priced.

Great local spot in the heart of downtown Zeli! Food is GREAT and a menu with tons of different styles & options. I had the cheesesteak with fries (whatever they season their fries with, is DEVINE), the General Shus Chicken is a must try, and their bowls are just as tasty and filling. College is the perfect light beer, and their wine options are great too. Service is fast and waiters are all super knowledgeable. Rooftop in the summer is a fun vibe to watch a football game or sit near the edge and watch the cars drive by. Give them a try for sure!

Fantastic food, and beer! This was our first visit and chose to stop thanks to Yelp. Loved the free play video games, and our server was super friendly!

This was my second time having out at ShuBrew and it is definitely a vibe. The drinks are good, I had the Smooshie and my friend had the Bloom! and we recommend both. For food I had the Mac and cheese with the chili and it as delicious. I was hesitant at first but I'm happy with my meal as it was good! They have a lot of things happening at ShuBrew (I.e. trivia night, happy hour, live music) but we went around lunch time so we were gonna miss the fun action. We will definitely be visiting again as our server was great and the restaurant had good energy to all patrons.

Absolutely LOVED this spot after hearing about it for years! We live in the Pittsburgh suburbs and don't get up to Zeli all that often, but after taking a day visit to McConnells Mill, we decided to pop in for a late lunch. The space is so cute and inviting, and service was so friendly and swift upon being seated. We both tried the Oktoberfest beer - very tasty! For food we ordered the seasonal hummus (cilantro lime) and both a spicy chicken sandwich and cheesesteak. We were starving, but even beyond that factor, all the food was FANTASTIC. So hot and fresh and flavorful! The prices were reasonable and portions were generous. I can't wait to return and try the ramen!

Zelienople as a small nostalgic town has some nice pub and restaurant options. ShuBrew has to be my favorite though with AMAZING craft beers and an absolutely delicious menu. It's a smaller menu compared to some, but the food is fantastic. They also serve flights, plus 4, 8, 16 oz individuals so you can try many of the great options on tap. The bowls were amazing and definitely get the additional hot sauce on the side. Yum!

This is an excellent brewery for beer and food ! They also have cocktails. My husband and I split the pulled pork nachos . I had the fried chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. Both pure comfort foods cooked well! Husband raves about the fast food burger .

I really wanted to love this ShuBrew, but my experience was a bit disappointing, and honestly, stressful...We got a seat in a back room on a Saturday night. It was extremely loud and difficult to have a conversation. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled horrible. Our appetizers were slow and entrees took over an hour. Waitress took away my drink when I had a few sips left without asking?? By the time the food arrived I almost didn't have an appetite anymore, but I'm willing to dole out 2 stars because the the Spice Melange and BBQ Platter were decent. the Shroomin' Show pizza was also good for what it was worth but I would expect a pizza with the word in the title to have more than maybe 4 small mushrooms? :/I would come back and give ShuBrew another chance because at the end of the day, quality food is what matters the most to me, and I really do think it has more potential based on other reviews.
