The place looked close down and desolate. Yelp had reviews and how much people loved the soul food sea food restaurant. But they were closed and no one was there. Too bad

Pittsburgh keeps showing us that this city hosts some of the greatest food spots, and Shay and Baeee's just got added to the list!Upon entering, I greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome from one of the owners, Shay.They have very extensive menu and had a nice variety of food available.There are two benches available to sit down on and wait for you order; however, this is purely a to-go spot, so there were not any dining tables. The prices are consistent with similar restaurants in the city, plus the portions are huge, so no complaints there.Now let's talk food!First, let me say they had some of meatiest, juiciest, lamb chops I've had from a restaurant in a while. Cooked to order, tempature of choice, and flavored sooooo well.Let's get into these candied yams y'all. Bravo to the chef, he made them perfect! Sweet and soft through every bite, and not one ounce of bitterness or crunchiness.We came at the end of night so we missed the Mac and cheese, but I will make sure to come early next time.If you are looking for a place with a little soul and seafood, check them out. You will not regret it!!!

I enjoyed the here. The consistency of the food is on point. The customer service is good; I like Shay. I wish that we could dine in, but the flow of their operation is smooth. The atmosphere is always on point with their cool music playlist. I'm going to miss eating here since I moved from the #412

A lot was wrong! It was slow and everything I asked for was not present. Maybe one day I'll be satisfied with what they have, but I was done after waiting so long for burnt chicken. Nice people though.

I just picked up an order from this place tonight. Everything looked and smelled delicious. The place is clean and the owners were eager to serve. My customer was so happy with her dinner and gave me a good tip, too! This is a young couple making a go at running a business in The Rocks. They have greens! We need greens in Pittsburgh; a lot, a lot! I took a menu with me. Can't wait to try their food for myself.

The food was delicious and Shay was an attentive server. The menu was creative and thoughtful.

This was my first experience at this establishment and I am blown away. When I first walked in, the smell of the food was delicious. I was greeted by a woman at the counter who took my order and was very kind. I got the seafood boil with mac n cheese and green beans. The boil was so good and the seasoning was perfect. The mac n cheese was probably one of the best I've ever had. I will be returning and support this small business!! Can't wait to try other menu items!

Great service first of all...... shay greets you with love and care, letting you know that the food is made with love. Got the salmon meal and it was crazy and the Mac and cheese was stupid good.... Meaning first bite will have with dementia ( all due respect ) lol. Prices are fair and portions are huge so please go try them their good for sure
