Sewickley Farmer’s Market

4.5 stars. According to the Sewickley Farmers Market's Facebook page, they first started a couple of decades ago. From April to November, they are open on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. From December to February, they are open on the third Saturday of the month from 9:30 AM to noon. They are located in the parking lot of St. James Church. This year was my first time attending this farmers market. Vendors had set up tents and were selling vegetables, meats, fishes, eggs, breads, pastas, kombucha, olive oils, sauces, honeys, jams and jellies, prepared foods (e.g., pierogies, quiches, Greek foods, tamales and empanadas, snow-cones), alcohol, flowers, ceramic dishes, etcetera. My husband and I purchased a few items of food from two vendors. We could not do all of our grocery shopping here, but this farmers market was a decent size. The vendors and the other customers were very friendly. My husband and I felt happy to try new products and to support small, local farms and restaurants.

I've been going to Sewickley farmers market for a really long time. Every Saturday for fresh organic vegetables, foraged mushrooms and occasionally grass fed beef, bread and syrup. Miss the fresh garlic vendor who retired. It's a nice set up. Unfortunately no dogs allowed. Cash is definitely needed. Vendors get to know return shoppers and are friendly.

I went to this market for the first time and I fell in love with it. It has food, plants, merchandise...all very quaint. All the vendors are friendly and answered my questions!

I really enjoy going to the Sewickley Farmers market on Saturday mornings! Farm fresh eggs, veggies, fruits and flowers galore! There's also a Greek food truck that's there with lots of delicious hot foods to take with you and there's freshly made breads and perogies too! If you are gluten free, you'll also enjoy a few stands dedicated to this. There's fresh meat too that you can purchase as well. It has everything and I'm always so pleased with the selection!!!
