Can't beat the prices for salads sandwiches and ice cream! The sandwiches were good and the salads were plentiful. The folks who got the burgers said they were terrific. And the ice cream! OMG after spending more than $9.00 on two little ice cream cones on Mt Washington in Pittsburgh , this was a joy! Soft serve and scooped ice cream and prices not to be believed. Large (should say LARGE) hot fudge sundae was 2.99. Could have fed 2 but unfortunately it fed me! I couldn't finish it! That's a first. One server who was lovely. This little country place is on the way to Fallingwater and well worth a stop for lunch it treats.

Love this place! The portion sizes are huge for the price you pay. In the summer months, I definitely recommend going for an ice cream! My favorite is either pistachio or black raspberry. As for regular food, there is nothing I haven't enjoyed, but my go to is the chicken salad! Check out this mom and pop shop! You won't regret it.

I'm a local and I eat here with my family at least once a week. This place is a total dive, please don't go here looking for world-class, fine dining and decor. That said, if you love homemade food - food made from scratch, food your Nanna would make on Sunday, then go!They roast turkeys, beef, and meatloaf for the best "hot sandwich" you'll ever have. They also have fantastic, fantastic, fantastic chicken salad. Their daily specials range from stuffed chicken breast to hot sausage sandwiches and everything in between. Whatever it is, you won't go wrong ordering it. Their sides are made from scratch - mashed potatoes that have some lumps, macaroni and cheese that's gooey and cheesy. Homemade desserts - pie, cakes, cookies -- every type you can think of, they will have. Their prices are beyond fair for the portion sizes - my family of 3 can eat there for under 20 bucks and we usually have a doggy bag.

This place has fantastic slushies and custards. But I came in for a late lunch. One fellow diner had a grilled cheese, the other a double cheeseburger. I had the special, which was pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and a hot dog (!). They loved their meals; I found mine bland. The service is great and it's probably the northernmost place you can get sweet tea.

The fish sandwiches were hardcore breaded and fried, so that you could barely taste fish at all. They had tons of different french fries (curly, steak, shoestring, etc-- not to mention onion rings) which were all tasty, but after eating there we felt greasy all over. The shoestring fries, by the way, were not actually shoestring but more like regular fries you'd get at any fast food restaurant. Their tomato soup is definitely Campbells, and the grilled cheese was ok (classic white bread and American cheese). It wasn't bad overall taste-wise, but just pretty unhealthy. Be warned.

Got a chef salad they gave me white pepperoni ( don't think it's to be that way) I asked the server she told be it was because it got mixed with the salami. This use to be a great place to eat but the young employees they have there don't care.

do not get the milkshakes unless you want to be served a gallon of milk. paid 35 dollars for 4 milkshakes and after finally getting them after half an hour they all were runny and just tasted like milk. had no ice cream flavor at all or any add ins or anything and sad to say they were honestly disgusting. asked to have them possibly remade or a refund and they could not do anything other than give me another small cup full of "thicker" ice cream to "add to it" when it was the same milk consistency and taste as the original. will never come here again

Great local diner. Daily specials are fantastic. Steak night every other Friday. You're not going to find a NY Strip for this price anywhere.

It's not a high class fancy, however for this area being a local it may seem fancy, in fact it is the most fancy restrunt in normalville, it's worth it to come here than pay more and drive more to go to "The Italian Oven" in Connellsville. The food is good and they bring it. Good for kids or groups.
