Scotty's Donuts

These are some very tasty treats!We selected a variety of both cake and yeast donuts. First try was the blueberry. This is a cake style and it tastes exactly like a fresh blueberry. I actually hesitated to choose this one, but now I am so very glad I did! It was wonderful.The chocolate on the Angel Cream and Boston Cream was tasty without being over sweet. The yeast dough is so light and fluffy. Both are very satisfying. The vanilla cream in the Angel Cream donut is quite sweet, almost like a frosting The Boston cream custard was nicely done. Not over sweet, nice and smooth.Many of the donuts we selected have a sugar glaze that compliments the donut. The donut itself is not too sweet, and the sugar glaze adds just enough sweetness to make for an enjoyable treat.There is a small parking area behind the shop. Eating-in is no longer an option and the dining room has been turned into a storage area. There are bottled beverages in a cooler, and hot coffee is available. Cream & sugar on a table to add yourself. I would definitely stop by for more donuts from Scotty's when in this area. These are very tasty, light and fluffy donuts.

Very disappointed with this service. Came in at 10:30 no donuts and coffee. Employee was very rude and not apologetic. I will not be going back.

I worked with people from DuBois and they'd bring these donuts to the office on special occasssions. The office would go crazy and they would be gone in a flash. So now whenever we are nearby DuBois we stop at Scotty's. This place is a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. This place is locally owned and operated for the last 30 years. It's located in the middle of town and operates out of the bottom of a house. The place has been ran hard, is worn down and it sees a lot of foot traffic. It's takeout only since covid hit and once they're gone they close for the day. The donuts here are so delicious. They have a wide assortment and I highly recommend the "giant" creme filled. You won't be dissapointed!

I was in town visiting a friend and he suggested we get donuts. He was really talking these peanut butter cream donuts up and I wasn't going to get excited about them. I'm from Buffalo where we have Paula's Donuts. And they are a pretty big deal. Everyone has their hometown favorites and biases. I went in with bias, but came out on the other side with a new attitude and a new favorite donut place. I tried the chocolate iced peanut butter cream donut. It was a game changer. I liked the cream to donut ratio.I also tried the powder sugar with peanut butter cream and it was very delicious. You have to get there to try this peanut butter cream filled donut. Outstanding. If you are in the area, definitely stop there and try these delicious donuts. They are definitely worth stopping for.

We were traveling to Philly from OH and we stayed in DuBois. I read some reviews and said the donuts were delicious. The reviews were NOT wrong. When their hours are 5:30am-when sold out, you know they'll be amazing. We got a baker's 1/2 doz. The peanut butter filled, crème filled, and glazed were amazing. The person working was super friendly and very helpful + her Mom went to THE Ohio State University. You can also pick out a matchbox car for $1, who wouldn't like that! Great donuts

The best donuts in town. Not much to say about them, except they're excellent and I love them.

Donuts are outstanding.....but I miss being able to sit at the counter or table and enjoy them.

The donuts are the best you will ever have!! I recommend either the pumpkin donut (seasonal) or my favorite, the chocolate iced vanilla angel. Yum!!!

The donuts are all made fresh daily! They are delicious, light and fluffy. They sell out quick most days so come early for the best selection!
