This was supposed to be what I ordered, but with more flowers, taller and wider.

No one can ever accuse me of being cheap and anyone that knows me also knows that I will never put up with anyone's crap! I lost my brother this past Monday and as I have always done in the past, I relied on Scharders, living four hours away I used their website to find what I thought would be the perfect flowers for my brother, knowing that his favorite colors were blue and purple, I chose the pictured arrangement. Instead of using the web to order them I picked up the phone and called to make sure they could fill this order, not only did I do this, but I upgraded the arrangement to the "deluxe" version so that it would be bigger and better. Now mind you the standard arrangement had nine white roses, with three white lilies and the rear of the arrangement was filled with purple iris and greens, my deluxe upgrade should have been bigger and better! I spoke with Cindy, I heard her specifically ask if they had that certain vase and all of those flowers mentioned and they said yes to each and every question except for the white lilies, I asked if they had rebrum lilies ( Stargazers ) instead and she asked and they told her yes! I have had enough heartache in the past year to last me a lifetime and I am bitter, but with this, strength develops and when I walked into the funeral home at 1:00 for the immediate families one hour viewing and did not see my flowers that I had ordered anywhere, I started reading the cards and I was fuming! The original flowers which I have described were to be 17 1/2 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches tall, it is still on their web site. My tiny vase of flowers had no height, it was flat and just above the small vase, it was maybe eight inches high and four to five inches wide and held not one white rose, nor one Rebrum lily! Instead it was a very hidden display of three well cut off yellow roses, a few yellow lilies, white spider mums and a slash of purple iris, all cut extremely short! I could have done a much better job walking through my own gardens! Picture a cheap bouquet of flowers that you can buy at a grocery store and then stick them in a small vase! I picked up the vase and drove to Schraders! I set it on the counter and said this is not what I ordered and they tried their hardest to blame Cindy who was not even there and I defended her to first the employee, then the owners wife and then the owner himself came out! Repeating again and again the conversation that I had with Cindy and hearing her ask those questions. Listen to this... The owner asked me to follow him into the room where they kept all of the vases and I chose a nice big crackled glass vase, he then asked me to follow him into the cooler where they kept all of the flowers, they had not one white rose and only one Rebrum lily! I was pissed to say the least. They had two days to either get those flowers or to call me and say we are going to substitute a cheap $29.00 vase of dramatically cut off flowers of our choice, what would you like us to do? Now mind you I had calmed down by this point and thought okay, they are trying to make things right! I said I want it tall and built up, I will take red roses, since that is all that you have and I chose three different purple flowers for them to add along with babies breath. I told him that they had my account number and I want it to look very nice and full! The owner insisted that I should return to the funeral home and he would have it delivered within 15 minutes... While I am standing and talking with relatives and friends, my husband walks back in with the most hideous tall display of greens with maybe six long stemmed red roses spread out on them, all fanned out with empty spaces like you would not believe, no babies breath, not one white flower and a couple of purple flowers. It was a joke! I have to tell you that so many folks asked where that came from and when I told them they shook their head and said why did you use them, you should have used so and so... Schrader's has gone down hill with this generation running the old family business and I will never, ever use them again! Not only this, but I will report them to the BBB and whoever the flower Gods are!

I had a wonderful experience with Schraders. They were the florist for my wedding. Cindy put together my bouquet and it was GORGEOUS! Everything was beautiful and of excellent quality. The service was exceptional as well. They arrived early and set up our swags on the arch for us. Great vendor, would definitely use again!

AMAZING WOMAN WORK HERE!!! I ordered a small flower arrangement and wind chimes for my sister in law's Grandfather's funeral and the woman I spoke to was excellent. I ordered over the phone and had almost 30 names and she patiently listened to all of them. I even had three Bible versus and they worked with me. I was able to email them the info I wanted on the card. Another plus is they have larger cards to place on the arrangements so you can say everything you want. I will ALWAYS order from them!!!! Thank you for being a great business!

I ordered a $100.00 funeral bouquet and was disappointed. The flowers were beautiful but it was a small bouquet for the money.

Called on March 19th in the morning to order flowers for delivery on Wednesday 20th. The person I sent flowers to did not acknowledge receiving them. Which is out of character. I called Schraders on the 21st to ask if the bouquet was delivered. She couldn't find record so had to call me back. When she called me back she said we didn't have the flowers you asked for so we had to order them and we were really busy with a funeral. So no your order was not delivered. But if you would like we can take care of it today. A phone call to let me know you didn't have the flowers, even though I gave you 2 options of pretty basic flowers that were on your website. Or let me know you were too busy to take care of my order would have been nice. BEST part is the flowers they delivered are not what I asked for.

My mother turned 80, and we wanted to give her a special memory. A basket of 80 flowers seemed the perfect way to celebrate 80 wonderful years. We turned to Sara, the new owner of Schrader Flowers. WOW! She told us it would be a challenge; she was up for it. The delivered basket was so big, bright and beautiful. My mother looked and looked and looked at it. Two weeks later, and she is still enjoying those flowers. 80 was a lot of flowers! I really appreciate the creativity that Sara put into making the basket, just the colors we asked, and without blowing our modest budget. Our special request had to have taken a lot of time to plan and consider, but Sara went above and beyond, finding just the right flowers and putting them in just the right arrangement. We will all remember that basket of 80 beautiful flowers celebrating an amazing 80 years for a long, long time.

They had a young girl do our consult for our wedding flowers and we never heard back. Turns out she took my email wrong and then when I got the quote all the info was wrong, there were family members missing needing flowers and family members on there we don't even have. Someone else took over and did an awesome job, sent a picture of the bouquet I had in mind and it was perfect. Said she would call me in two weeks and again I never heard back. Called the store and she randomly retired. I guess if I hadn't called no one would have taken this on. I should have gone elsewhere at this point but we were running out of time. Worked with the third florist and sent her the picture of the bouquet. The bouquet looked nothing like the picture I sent but was still beautiful which is why I gave two stars instead of one. They forgot a groomsman's boutonniere but denied it when I called. Then they said "oh we have it here" and delivered a random boutonnière that didn't match anything. I can't believe I gave this place over a thousand dollars for something that died and was very frustrating and incorrect the whole time.

With great sadness I write this review. Our family has been doing business with these folks for many many years. My mom, now 87, patronized them for many of her flats of flowers for around our house, now her house. This past weekend, she went into the greenhouse to search for a flat of Coleus. She found a great flat with many colors, including deep reds, which she wanted. When she started to look for someone to pay for the flat, a dweeb employee harshly told her she wasn't allowed in the greenhouse and shuffled her to the front. At the front she asked for the flat and was presented with a flat of 90% green and a few red speckles. When asked if this was ok she said "NO!" and asked for other flowers, they brought out a partial flat of wilted rejects. Why "rejects" because they were 3-packs with several of them with 1 empty slot. So she walked away with a partial flat of garbage, paying full price and leaving behind the ones she wanted. Her theory: 1. She is old so she won't Mind / Complain / Know. 2. They are "saving" the good Stuff for the Memorial Day Weekend, where they will increase price.Well either 1 or 2 is disgraceful. I am 5 hours away, otherwise I would be all over them, instead, they lost a life-long customer and hopefully this review will lead other older folks to shop elsewhere. Congrats Schrader'e hopefully your greed will come back to bite you!
