Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse

Forget Ichiban or Saga, please consider driving about 15 minutes longer and go to Sapporo! The owners are absolutely lovely. The food is amazing and we cannot wait to go back. Recommend!

We came in for our son's birthday and had a good experience all in all. I'd choose this hibachi over the chain restaurants for sure. The food was good, although all of our chicken dishes were slightly overcooked. We all agreed that we would go back though. Good food, good service. Restaurant furnishings are a little outdated and space could use some updates.

Went here tonight with my family to celebrate my birthday. We were treated with so much love and care that we felt like family! The food was so yummy and they were really good with my kids. Couldn't recommend this place enough, please try!

Best hibachi in the area. Owners and staff are always friendly and accommodating. Large portions and fresh food cooked in front of you. It's an older building and hasn't been updated but the food and service are the best.

What a nice little spot to take your kids and family out for a show good food and good drinks hibachi is hibachi but I felt that the gentleman behind the grill were funny entertaining charming and enthusiasticI felt the drink prices were in line, the food prices were in line, and There wasn't a line to get in. When you go out and make reservations it is important that when you show up on time they see you the kids are moving entertained and that just makes for a great dinner highly recommend the spot to take the kids and family

I feel mixed in writing this review because I love that this is a family owned restaurant but unfortunately there were some service mishaps that really should be corrected. First, part of my group of 12 arrived early and grabbed drinks at the bar. All was pleasant. Drinks were good. Then they say us at 2 hibachi tables (each table sits 8). This is where the service issues began. After being seated no server came to our table for about an hour. Therefore no offer for water, drink refills, etc. We had to speak with the bar staff 2-3x before our server arrived. Our server, Melissa, was great and attentive. She took our drink orders and promptly brought them out. She apologized for wait- they were short staffed and only had 1 hibachi chef and he was behind. So we ordered some appetizers - but were told we couldn't do tempura because the fryers weren't on it the kitchen. At 730pm on a Saturday night.... doesn't sound right to me. The chef finally arrived, 2 hours after our reservation time. The food was delicious- but it was difficult and unsatisfactory to have to wait so incredibly long for it. I'd hope this restaurant can hire more chefs to cook because waiting to eat 2 hours after a reservation is unacceptable. The food was delicious and generously portioned.

Sapporo has great food as you hope for a hibachi place. Reasonable prices for the portions that has quality. The server was very attentive and polite to all of the needs throughout. Would back in a heartbeat
