This is another one of those Little Italy gems that I'm so glad to have in my neighborhood. I've hesitated making postings about it because I love feeling like it's our own little secret. With the business set to switch ownership at the end of this week I figured now is the time to write a review. Of course I do this in the hopes that nothing changes with with amazing products I've gotten there over the years. The most amazing homemade Italian style breads and rolls/buns that give Mancini a run for their money. Not to mention their special treats like cinnamon rolls. An unassuming garage in the midst of a residential neighborhood there is no store front since they're a wholesale business (primarily). But regular folks can walk up off the street and make purchases of whatever they may have on hand. Always warm and super fresh. Please don't change.

Sancholi Bakery has stolen the spot in my heart formerly occupied by Mancini's. Well maybe not - but Sancholi Bakery is my go-to for fresh italian bread baked that morning to be eaten that same night.Served in many of the local Bloomfield establishments, I found it for sale at the Groceria Italia; but one day when they were out they suggested I check at the bakery itself, so I did.The bakery doesn't really do a retail business, but when you walk into the garage the baker will happily take a buck and change and put a still-warm loaf of bread in your hands. On the day it's made, this bread can't be beat - crunchy crust, soft, sweet interior. In the following days, great for french toast.

Every time I shop in the strip district, I try to get to Penn Mac EARLY before they sell out of Sanchioli Brothers Italian bread. This is undoubtedly the finest Italian bread in town, and honestly, the guys like Breadworks, Mancini's, and Cellone's come in a distant second. The crust is a perfect crunch, and the middle is so "fluffy" it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My all-time favorite lunch at home is an assortment of Italian meats and cheeses from Parma Sausage and the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company, served with green olives, peppericini, sliced roma tomatoes and a large hunk of the perfect Italian bread from Sanchioli Brothers. Add a glass of red wine, and you're in Italian heaven!

A great little family run bread bakery tucked into the back of Bloomfield toward the valley. You have to want to find it and look for it. At a little industrial building, behind an unmarked door you will find a little commercial bakery, not retail store, and you can get a loaf of bread that was in the oven just a couple hours prior. Worth the effort to find it.

Sancholi's is a Bloomfield treasure! Bread and other items are baked first thing in the morning. Bread, rolls, sandwich buns, sausage buns. OUTSTANDING! The middle is fluffy, the crust is crunchy! You can not beat Sancholi's!!
