We were visiting from out of town and randomly stopped. Great choice. The staff was very accommodating and even though it became busy, we were not forgotten. Pizza was great, good pricing.

Don't let the crumbling parking lot and worn out exterior fool you... this is actually a great, no frills lunch spot!There is limited seating inside, but our group of 6 was easily accommodated, as they were not busy at all for lunch. They have an entire two-sided menu, including everything from soups and salads to sandwiches and gyros, as well as pizza, of course. We went with the daily special, which was a mini calzone with a side salad for $8! You could choose any calzone from the menu, and even though it was "mini", it was the perfect amount of food for lunch. Everything was served hot, right from the oven, and the server was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was okay.

Passed this place so many times and decided to try it! I was pleasantly surprised and ordered it twice in a week. Everything I tried here was great! We had a small salad, medium pizza with pepperoni, fries, and breadsticks. The breadsticks are amazing.When you order pickup, they bring it out to the car for you, so it's super convenient. Give it a shot if you're looking for new pizza to try!!

Sadly, to all Sammy's loyal customers-they've closed "for good"...the fact that we weekly drive by just to see if possibly they've re-opened proves what a great place this was--and how sorely it is missed. Someone needs to buy this business, along with all the recipes(!), hire back the same great servers and open up once again! We are going through a real grieving process here!

LOVE SAMMYS! We come here a lot for lunch and always have great service! Today I got a $8 lunch special with a mini calzone and salad! Our server was so sweet and quick. Food is always perfect. They also have good take out that I get after lunch! It's a good little spot! Highly recommend!

During Covid-19, I am trying to support locally owned businesses. We can clearly assess over the past few months what restaurants are doing it right. Sammy's is all wrong. In short, they created no system in terms of being ready when the cars pull up. They just sit inside with your cold food. You basically have to let yourself in the side door to the kitchen. Food was cold and awful. Two of the four of us who ordered agreed they were the worst salads we ever had. My boss and I threw away more than 1/2 of our food. And the attitude... is so cavalier... they couldn't care any less about the customer.Sammy's Place needs to learn from other successful (and appreciative businesses.) Their attitude was the straw that broke this camel from every returning there. Ordered over the phone for four people. The employee said it's curbside service and asked for my car make and model. They have NO SYSTEM. I pulled up and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. I honked several times. Then I went up to the door and knocked. Nothing. Finally, I just opened the door and went in. They looked at me as if I was bothering them. The kid making the food looked at me and said, "yes?." Then the server yelled from the other side, "I'll be out." She came out with no food. She asked, "What did you get?" - ok - why didn't she ask when I came in? Then she came out with my food. I got back to work, they forgot the dressing for the one salad. Which, by the way, when I ordered I was very specific and the order taker read it back to me. But no... not in the bag. The rest of the food was cold, dried up and awful. I heard such great things. But honestly, it was the attitude of the staff who stared me down. No.. "hi! what's your order?" Horrible. NEVER AGAIN... NEVER

Pizza was AMAZING, service was awesome, even the customers were smiling and bring pleasant. Definitely best pizza in greentree.

Sammy's Pizza is my grandson's favorite. Went there for his birthday. We enjoyed it immensely. We try to get there every friday.

Clean place - you don' t have to brace yourself to discover a crime scene when you want to use the rest room to wash your hands. They are maintained and kept tidy.Very good pizza! Nice wait staff! Clientele? Lots of cops - its in the City proper, but no City cops, for some reason. I think they are Green Tree and Scott Twp. So, you know the place won't tolerate thuggery and agitated people looking to start something. Its a friendly, neighborhood-like atmosphere, actually.I do not have a lot of experience as a consumer of Sammy's, but I really loved the pie I got there, and never felt like I needed to shower after leaving (as I do with some establishments - oh come on, like you haven't had the same feeling at times!). I will be back to try other food options there. I hope they stay open for a while - they might be hurting to find enough staff.

We ordered fish sandwiches & extra crispy fries. Yuck. The fish is raw. The breading on the fish is slimy & raw on the inside and burned on the outside. The hamburger bun it was served on is not mancinis. The fries are soggy and greasy, frozen bagged crap.Speaking of grease, they should change theirs. It leaves a nasty after taste on the food. Won't ever be back.
