BBQ Chicken Pizza
Spinach "roll"? Aka gooey dough filled with soggy canned spinach & rubbery cheese. It tastes as good as it sounds and looks.

Once my roomate and I moved to Southside, this became our number one pizza spot. I've gone to many "small pizza shops", including Antoons and Sorrentos of Oakland, but this is by far the best tasting pizza I have come across at a local small business. It was great at any time of the day or a late night snack. Sometimes, the area was a little shady, especially at night since this was a huge party area so I wouldnt go alone during these times or make sure nothing shady is going on around the shop on Friday/Saturday night.Aside from all that - really great pizza and thats all that matters to me!

The greatest generic, greasy and cheap pizza around. I mean, I order it from Doordash and it's $10 for a XXL pizza with toppings at $2.50 a pop. Better than a Chef Boy-Ar-Dee pizza kit yet not as good as CiCi's best when it comes to cheap pizza.

Sure the slices are $5 a pop but it's close to bar time and you need something to soak up the alcohol. All kidding aside, while the interior looks to be in need for a deep cleaning, the pizza is solid with a great crust.

After a late night down in Southside, we wanted some quick and easy food. The classic spot for our group to stop at is Sal's Pizzeria, probably because it is one of the only places still open at 1 am. When we got there, there was a line basically out of the store of all of the college kids coming out of the bars looking for some food. When we got to the front of the line, the only pizza they had was a pepperoni pizza that just came out of the oven, so I ordered two slices of it and it was around $9 total. The pizza itself was kinda oily and very doughy, It also tasted as if it hadn't been cooked through all the way, which wasn't very pleasant. The restaurant itself was very chaotic, but the cook's did very well under pressure having 20 college kids shouting for food. This definitely wouldn't be my first choice pizza spot in Pittsburgh or restaurant to come eat at, but this was the best that we could get at 1 am so its hard to complain. I'm curious if seeing if there are any other places open this late in the southside as well.

Good pizza but definitely could've been better. I've had much better pizza in my life, but for Pittsburgh it was very good. However I ordered a pepperoni and banana peppers. The banana peppers fell off very easily and did not feel thoroughly bakes through. The staff was not willing to cooperate with me and my requests. However the pizza was very good so I can understand why they would not. They probably feel as if they're better than others. The ambience was OK just a normal place and southside. However a little over a whole very mad yeah. I would give it a three out of five stars. for more further reviews follow @gbennieats on Instagram.

Definitely a hidden late night gem in Pittsburgh. Stopped in after being out late and Sal didn't disappoint. The slices were big. He's a cool guy and we stuck around talking to him and ended up ordering a few more slices and I'm glad to know there's somewhere to go at 2am since Pittsburgh has become a real disappointment for anyone who isn't in bed by 10pm.

Used to be the best pizza place in south side pittsburgh. officially the worst place in southside. had to chance their already overpriced slide from 3.50 to $4. now the most overpriced bs slice in SS pgh. don't buy this pizza if you plan on waking up in the Am. i'm a die hard Sal's fan but now they're sell outs and are worth nothing. they are straight sell out scum bags and will take your money. don't waste ur time

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IVE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED BY A PIZZAY'all... the audacity... this is supposed to be bbq chicken pizza... there's chicken scraps on it if anything at all. Thin layer of chz... and horrible tasting bbq sauce squirted on top. Common man I don't order out often but we have company and what else can a group of 5+ get full from? Take out! Not this. We all tried a piece and highly disappointed. $30 down the drain and hungry company still
