Unless you are a local do not even think about going to this place. I was in town for a few nights and when I looked for a place for dinner, this looked appealing unfortunately. Stopped by at 9:30 on a Wednesday night. Two of us walked in and were ignored for at least five solid minutes while the bartender danced and laughed and told stories to the five locals sitting in their personal barstools. The guy next to me was over half way through a cigarette. Since when do they allow cigarettes smoking in a public bar??? The young lady bartender acted as if she was coming over to wait on us and I turned around and walked back to the crowd of local to attempt to entertain them. We walked out. Saw the bartender roll her eyes when we did. Don't waste your time.

Why a treat this was! We were not sure what to expect but we enjoyed the treat. The suicide tater tots were FANTASTIC!!!! The wedding soup hit the spot and the food that the rest of my group enjoyed looked delicious!!!

Yet another update to the review here. They've gotten some new cooks since I last reviewed and they're constantly improving and have some great specials (philly steak flatbread sandwiches should be a permanent menu item!!). The beer battered fish is still my fav item on the menu and I wish they'd offer the beer batter every day of the week. I've found that, while I wasn't a fan of the burgers before, if you come on Mondays with their burger specials, they seem to be fresh and better than on other occasions. Their pasta sauce is still great (love the ravioli dish), their wedding soup isn't as great as it used to be (it used to be packed with meatballs, now not so much), their salads are smaller than they used to be, but their bread and oils are still great. They've now added a new keto and vegetarian friendly menu with cauliflower crust pizza (chicken alfredo pizza is the best), big mac salad, and impossible burgers. There's only one other restaurant in the area that has the impossible burger and no others have the pizza, so this is really a highlight here. The prices are still low, the drinks are cheap and strong, and the service is still very average (unless Donna is serving, she's the favorite amongst our group of friends). One big downside that we've only recently noticed is all you can eat wing night - we've eaten here a number of times on all you can eat fish night and if I've gotten a second piece of fish and couldn't finish it, I could take it home. But with the new wing 'policy,' you're not allowed to take home leftovers. I understand if someone orders wings solely to go, but if you've ordered your second dozen and have eaten the majority of them, to be told the restaurant would rather throw them away than let someone take 4-5 wings home is a bit extreme (and wasteful). On a separate note, we've also had a surprise party here in the back room and not only was the price reasonable, but the service was great. They were extremely flexible with us, adding an alfredo pasta option not on their party menu, providing a private bartender, providing tablecloths, and helping with the surprise itself.

I really love the place. From a service standpoint, it seems as though the restaurant side of the place isn't the focus, even though it has a great atmosphere. All I am saying is, If you don't have an hour and 15 minutes to spend in the place, go somewhere else. If you do, and you expect it to take that long, you are in for a treat. This has been my experience at lunch and dinner, whether they are busy or not. Prices are good, the food is great, and the slow timing is the only reason I don't go more often. I would love for this to change... If it does, I will add another star.

I have been a fan of Rudy"s for a long time. I have never been disappointed with any of their Italian dishes. I love their burgers and fries. Their wings are great and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Their fish is one of the best in the area. My grand kids like the section of food they have for them. The portion size is generous and I usually end up taking some of the food home with me. We have used their banquet room an several occasions and have always had a good experience. The building is one of those that you don't always have good cell phone reception but that is not a bad thing. No annoying phone calls while you are trying to eat diner. The men's room is located in the bar area and while I don't mind going thru that area I don't like taking the grandsons thru there. They do have a men's room in the banquet room but if that room is not in use it is extremely dark in there an difficult to try to find the door.

Freaking unexpectedly great steak. It was the special. A flat iron steak. Nobody k ew what this was. So I took a leap of faith and ordered it. Steak came out like a thick square flank steak. Yet unlike a flank, this was quite tender and easy to cut. Drinks were also great.

Tonight we attempted to have dinner at Rudys. We were promptly seated but after a 30 minute wait still no server to take our order. Tables around us were taken care of but we were totally ignored. They weren't even busy several tables open. This is the worst service I've ever experienced here and I don't know if we are going to go back. That's too bad since I did like this place but you can't enjoy good food if you can't get served.

Went here for my birthday dinner. Family of 6..we were here for 1 hour and 51 minutes. Id asked for a different drink because the pepsi was out of syrup. . waiting about 20 minutes and had to then ask for drinks for my entire family as well as my originally requested drink. Never asked if we wanted condiments / salt / pepper after our food was delivered. My fiances stuffed shells. Granted there was only one waitress for the dining side... i wouldnt say she was over worked as the restaurant only had 5 total tables.. but just not good with time management and shouldn't work alone. with covid we were given paper menu's but you could tell they weren't single use as they had been wrinkly and dirty in some spots.. so whats the point of a paper menu.. We wont be returning in a while.

Rudy's has been a main stay in the grove city community for years . I grew up in the area and have many fond memories of Rudy's . I have lived in Nashville tn for the last 24 yrs . when I come back, there are a couple things on my must do list . the number one on my list is visiting Rudy's to get their spaghetti and their wedding soup , and I don't really fell like I am home till I do. I returned to Nashville this morning with a quart of wedding soup , which I got at Rudy's . I had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to let everyone know about it. I had the most amazing service from my bartender Kelly . first of all she took the time to make sure I felt welcome and that all my needs were met . she was very courteous , cordial and professionalnot to mention (very beautiful) . we had a nice conversation and she went out of her way to make sure that my wedding soup was travel ready , and I am happy to report that it is save and sound in my fridge thanks to miss Kelly. she was an absolute darling to deal with and she made my visit very pleasurable and the soup is wonderful and just as I remember it . my hat's off to the chef . thank you again miss Kelly , I cant wait to come see you again .if you haven't been to Rudy's lately you need to go. chris s.
