Royal Pizza House

If you want to have a pizza delivered from here, and you are using an American Express card, you will be in for an ordeal. Our order was simple enough: 1 "Queen size" pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and banana peppers. My girlfriend gave my credit card number, and then they asked for the "V-code". She asked if they meant the 4 digit code on the front or the 3 digit code on the back. They said they wanted the 3 digit code. The code was provided, we were told it would be 45 minutes, and they hung up. We received a call 5 minutes later: the code didn't work. Okay, so we gave the 4 digit code and hung up. We received yet another phone call 5 minutes later. That didn't work either. Apparently, the person operating the register just could not figure out how to process the credit card. Good grief. We just said we would pay cash, and that was that.The pizza arrived, and it was just okay. I was really disappointed to see the use of canned mushrooms -- a first in my life. Pennsylvania is actually known for its mushroom farms, so that was just bizarre. The rest of the toppings were okay though. The sauce was able to bring the taste of the individual ingredients together, but by itself it was not particularly interesting. Functional pizza at a low price is really the draw here, if there is one. It is good to support a local shop over a chain pizzeria, but there should be an improvement in quality to justify the choice. Oh well. 2.5 stars

Went to the kecksburg ufo festival and tried the royal house pizza and manfirst of all three dollars for a slice of plain pizza....it tasted like old high school pizza the crust was a premade crust that was hard and thick...it had the playability of plasterboard....the sauce was not bad when there was some it had a sweet yet spiced flavor that was pretty good and of course there wasn't much cheese...if your looking for good pizza this isn't it...the local high school has way better pizza than this way disappointed....

If you want good pizza don't get it from here. My pizza was delivered and the pizza was stuck to the bottom of the box. The dough was thin and soggy. When it was picked up it was totally limp. The taste was awful. Bland. We've had better frozen pizzas. Never again.

I had ROYAL PIZZA as a child, growing up in SW GREENSBURG. I was hungry for pizza and wings tonight and wanted to try something different, and because I have not ordered from Royal for so long....I thought I'd try it. Why not? I had fond memories.WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. For $28, I'm so disappointed! I was only able to eat a very small portion of 1 single slice of the pizza.... It was so doughy- it reminded me of the bread DOUGH my mom use to place on the table....the sauce---- no comment. Try it yourself (or don't) because I'll never order from there again. Nor will anyone of my friends/family/people. I hate to sound like I am bashing them...maybe they are having a bad night.... but I try to spend my hard earned dollars wisely- and I just through $28 down the drain. Because I won't eat this and am sorry, I was hungry!

The dude is just as rude as everyone says he is. Really not worth supporting people like thatEdit * the pizza and salad were terrible too. Overall just skip out on this place if you're looking for something edible

They went back to the original pizza recipe and it is wonderful. I find the blend of cheese with a well balanced sauce on a very competent shell to be delightful. This past year, I have ordered pizza here more than any other pizza place in Greensburg. The time they give is the time the pizza is ready, I never had to wait beyond their time estimate. I found over the past two years, the pizza to be very consistent. This is a pick up pizza shop with 6 packs to go. I find the establishment to be clean.

I have been eating and just going to royal pizza since I was young, and I never had one problem or complaint until recently. We called and placed an order, and for some reason the guy was very rude, so I chalked it up to maybe he's having a bad day, called back another time and same guy had a bad attitude. Then I started asking others in the area about it and they said the same thing, the guy taking the order was disrespectful. I know Jr Maxon and he was never like that, and he always made sure his customers were taken care of, but who ever is answering the phone, needs to be nicer to the public, as we are the ones buying the food.

Second time ordering on Friday for lunch. Great za and super fast. Haven't been treated rudely yet and it wouldn't matter. For the price you can beat it. 14 dollars for a pizza that feeds 4 of us and still have leftovers. Give them a try bc its so good. I cant wait to try something different!

Ordered pizza Monday night. They were the only place still open. I seen the bad reviews but had no choice. The pizza came earlier than the estimated time. Some places take longer. Crust was decent but the cheese and sauce were good. Toppings were good, just wish they put a little more on.
