Rosalie Jioio's little Italy

One of my favorite pizzas locally. Thin crust, signature sweet sauce and always a really tasty sausage topping. We often get take out but tonight we dined in to also visit the Ice Festival in town. Although not in the center business area around the Diamond, it's a short walk uptown. Great way to work off some of those calories !Atmosphere is as expected of an old Italian establishment. Kinda grody with oil stained red checkered tablecloths and an old well worn wooden floor. "Artwork " adorns the walls circa 1950's Venice. But honestly I don't care! The pizza is THAT GOOD!We always order the weekend special which is a large pizza, family size salad (which is also Really Good with cheese, pepperoni and pepperoncini peppers and nice mixed greens) and a 2 liter soda of your choice. Extra for toppings but still a lot of food for a family of 4.If you're in Ligonier and craving pizza, this is the place to go. Don't confuse it with Joio's in Latrobe. Or the one in Carbon. THIS ONE is the best!

arrived around 6pm. were told after we were settle menu which we were just given was no longer good, it was pizza only rest of the night. took nearly and hour and we had to go up to the register/hostess to get water refills. if your short staffed or closing early or both a sign on the door would go a long way. another party came in and were told they were closing early.it took an hour to get 2 pizzas. the white pizza was so well done it was brown, but after a long day at the local amusement park, we were just finally happy to have food.

I grew up with a short drive for Jioio's so I've always had a bit of a soft spot for it. After stopping here to grab a pizza for takeout, it's just as I remembered it.Square cut with a crispy and delicate pie-like crust and a sweet sauce. The one thing I do recommend is that you should add a salty or spicy topping to it (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, etc). I'm normally a plain pizza guy, but you need something to cut the sweetness.A large pie and a can of soda was right around $20.

Very cute Italian restaurant!! Nicely themed inside and small and cozy. Excellent service, and outstanding dishes were the sausage stuffed peppers for me but everyone really enjoyed all the dishes. Very affordable as well with great daily specials!

We were looking for a place for dinner after Idlewild so we decided to try here. It was an excellent decision!The restaurant dining room is TINY. Six tables in one room, three in the other and two outside. We arrived at about 7:30 on a Saturday and you could tell the staff was a bit overwhelmed by how busy they were. But they handled it well and were as efficient as they could be.I ordered the grilled mushrooms as an appetizer. I was expecting a small bowl so I was surprised when there was a huge portion. They were the mushrooms you'd get on a pizza smothered in delicious cheese and some seasoning. It was tasty, I just wish it came with bread.My husband and I got the Italian combo for two. It was HUGE. We saw another table get the version for one and agreed that we could have split that version and still be satisfied. It also came with garlic bread and a house salad. The kids ordered rigatoni and it came with bread and a giant meatball.It was a tasty and affordable meal. We'll be back when we're in the area again.

Best pizza and spaghetti, hands down! All food is made to order. We have dined in and down take out often. I love their salad and they run some great specials!

Food was excellent except the red sauce is a little too sweet. Service was very good though you can clearly see how stressed the one server working alone at the time was handling the entire front of the house. Here's the problem -- they no longer offer the Italian plate (our favorite)!!! They explained that they no longer offer ravioli, gnocchi, and some other pastas. What Italian restaurant doesn't offer ravioli??? Them no longer offering the Italian plate is the BIG problem. Though we used to come here often, not sure we'll return now.

Rosalie Jiolo's without a doubt has excellent pizza. However, we you mess-up an order, you can at least say your "sorry". Waiting around 20-25 minutes for a takeout order wasn't appealing.Pepperoni Pizza.

They have paper over the kitchen window to conceal the fact that not a single person in the kitchen cooking your food has a mask on. The bottom piece of paper was falling off and you could see. The front of house staff at least wears masks to uphold some illusion. While waiting to pick up the food, the one waitress was gossiping about customers wearing masks to some apparent regulars.The pizza crust was underdone and tasted like raw dough.
