Robokyo Japanese Steakhouse

Disappointing experience. We should have turned around the second the hostess pointed towards the dining room and said pick any table. Problem was, every table had dirty dishes etc from previous diners. We managed to find a clear table and took a seat. Eventually, the lone server/ bartender/ table clearer greeted us. Orders were placed and we sat back with the expectation our food was not going to be arriving anytime soon. In fact, my drink order never arrived at all. Clearly the place was trying to operate with very few staff members and couldn't succeed. I can't even recall how many times the staff that was present was seen darting around in every direction , swishing in and out of the room where we were seated.Our server was overwhelmed, and overworked, but managed to do his best and we appreciate that. We understand the food industry has been battling major obstacles so we get it. However, the quality of our meals were really disappointing . This used to be the place to go for a "special "meal. However after tonite, the quality rates poorly and its doubtful we will return.

Our experience was a good one. Good service. Entertaining & delicious meal. We will definitely eat here again!!

Went for lunch and while it can be a little pricey, it was worth it. The service is good, the hibachi is delicious and the portions are generous. I had the filet and chicken and the chef cooked it just the way I like it. The chicken was a little salty for my liking, but everything else was delicious, especially the fried rice. My husband had the Dragon Roll, which he said was really tasty. We always visit this spot when we are in town and the outside patio looks really inviting as well, but it was way too hot in the day we visited.

Very very good hibachi. A tad more expensive than other hibachi places I've been. Talented and entertaining chefs. Will return!

This restaurant is worthy of more than five stars!My husband and I have a developed a new love for hibachi and we're trying different hibachi restaurants in the Greensburg area. I will say that we've visited Robokyo's competitor twice prior to our visit here, and I will never go back to their competitor! Robokyo is the go-to place for Japanese cuisine in the Greensburg area.We pulled into the parking lot and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful building and patio area that greeted us. On the outside, the structure appears to be a historic home with an extension. The patio was beautifully lit with decorative lights. The inside of the restaurant was just as beautiful and decorative as the exterior. Smaller rooms separate the bar, dining room, and hibachi tables from each other, so you get a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy dinner. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who recommended having a drink at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. The bartender was friendly and just about all the seats at the bar were filled. The beer list offered a nice variety of domestic and international beverages to accommodate a variety of preferences. We waited at the bar about 25 minutes which is consistent with the wait time the hostess told us it would be.The room with the hibachi tables was spacious, inviting, and well decorated. All of the rooms in the restaurant and the tables were very clean and tidy. It's a great location for large and small groups. My husband and I ordered Japanese soda, mostly because we wanted to see what the difference was compared to American soda. As you can see in the photos, the soda comes I small glass bottles and you have to open the soda but pushing a marble through the bottle opening. We had a lot of laughs trying to figure it out and enjoyed the opportunity to try a beverage that we would never come across normally. We ordered the Philadelphia roll and enjoyed it immensely. They put jalapeños in the roll which weren't overpowering and added a little extra flavor that you wouldn't find in other restaurants. A couple sitting at the bar with us previously ordered the rainbow roll and it looked delicious as well! They seemed happy with it from our impression. Our chef for the evening was Ramone. He was professional, skilled, and entertaining! I really enjoyed the way he prepared the food since it wasn't soaked in soy sauce and butter like other hibachi restaurants I've visited. Everything was perfectly balanced with flavor and cooked to perfection. Robokyo was offering a special on the chicken and shrimp entree, so we both ordered it. I normally don't care much for shrimp, but I gobbled all of it up immediately. It was so yummy and flavorful! The portions were on par with what you would receive in most other hibachi restaurants. Fried rice was an additional cost, which I didn't agree with, but it was worth ordering it for the quality of service and the class of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves japanese cuisine or wants to try hibachi for the first time! My husband and I plan on bringing out in-laws here to try hibachi in the near future. This establishment is by far better than the local competitor. We will definitely be coming back!

Courtyard is beautiful and our server was excellent. We started with the st Germaine cocktail-highly recommended from this Chardonnay girl. The strawberry watermelon fizz tasted but is really sweet. Order accordingly. Edamame of course (hot with just the right amount of salt). My Tuna Salad turned out to be a deconstructed roll with tuna avocado and seaweed salad over sushi rice all my faves and it was perfect! My friend had the hibachi chicken and found it perfect!!!

Look at the picture and you'll understand!Came here for Sushi...what a mistake. Ordered a couple of spicy rolls. Did not know that their interpretation for spicy sushi rolls meant: Dabbing Sriracha hot sauce on top of a ready made roll. In addition it seemed that the roll was refrigerated for a while. The amount of seafood in the roll was laughable and the rice was tough. Any Supermarket can do better. Although the staff seemed perplexed about my reservations, thy are not at fault, as they did not seem to know any different. They were friendly and polite and maybe their Hibachi might be good. But their Sushi....

Let me start by saying they have some chefs that are excellent here and some that seem to be beginners, it is hit or miss.The chicken and steak I recommend if you like it less then well done please order it medium I prefer mine medium well and it comes well done every time.The soba noodles are excellent.If you have a coupon printed out in advance they will not accept an electronic version this is not a green restaurant.The Yum Yum sauce is excellent on the salad as well The weekly specials are very attractive.I am reading this restaurant A 3 simply because of the inconsistency in the chefs as well as the servers along with the food quality being different every time I come.If so ask Mike is available I highly recommend him.

Great service, delicious food and nice lit-up patio! They also have an outdoor bar. We love the sushi and hibachi.

A little on the pricier side for most hibachi I've had but the food was worth it in the end. The food Wasn't drowned in sauce like most places I've been to and the veggies were cooked with a little bit of crispness left in them. We both had steak and shrimp and I had a tuna roll which at first I had the wrong roll delivered to the table. I found this out when I bit in and found it to be a spicy tuna roll. Only downside is that the server was fairly inattentive which is why I always tip the cooks separate from the servers. The cook himself had to ask her to bring me new sushi and fresh drinks for the table. Keep in mind I am a server myself and know how much is required for the job in general and it's not hard to check if a table needs drinks. Overall I would for sure return.
