I was here on a Saturday with a friend. Lovely little course. Wish it was a bit more lively. But I had a great time. They need to clean up the waterfall area where the mold and smile build up is from leaks. Good for a cheap date or afternoon.

Great spot to hit some golf balls during the winter months and other inclement weather. Inexpensive...a large bucket of balls (all balls are Srixon) is only $15 (and $1 less for seniors and juniors). The indoor range is short, only about 100 yards or so, but you can get a good read on your longer shots within that distance - straight, fade, draw, hook, slice. Great spot to hit some balls.

I came here once for a public skating session on a Wednesday evening while working in the area. I'd just started getting into my figure skating lessons and didn't want to forget too much while I was out of town. Thankfully, this rink was not too far of a drive from where I was working/staying.The sports center is huge, with a good-sized parking lot that had plenty of spots available when I arrived. The lady at the front desk was friendly and patient. Admission was $7. There were a few small coin-operated lockers ($0.50 per use, quarters accepted only), which were located right outside the rink and were a bit hard to find--I didn't even see them until another skater was kind enough to point them out to me. However, they worked fine and were sufficiently large to store a purse and some boots. The signage for which rink the public session took place in wasn't too clear, but I guessed which rink it was and wound up being right. The public session was scheduled right after some classes; the ice was not zambonied between the classes and the public session, so the ice was rather choppy. The session was a lot more crowded than a weeknight session back at my regular rink (in Maryland) would have been; probably skating is just a lot more popular in this area. The session was popular with children, and some very young kids were skating around with plastic walkers, which I'd heard of but never actually seen before. Some of the kids were playing tag, which was annoying, but didn't seem overly dangerous. The facilities seemed reasonably clean and definitely had more amenities than the rinks I'm used to back home. Although I only saw 1 of the rinks, the center has at least 1 other rink and as well as a golf center. Overall, a pretty neat place, and I was glad there was somewhere I could practice skating away from home.

Awesome Center. My boyfriend plays in one of the adult hockey leagues. Its nice there is an area for visitors to watch. I love walking around the complex. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because of the parking. Its hit or miss depending upon what's going on. Sometimes areas are roped off for some reason. Not only is parking tight but the spaces seem to be super narrow.

Disclaimer: this review is from the perspective of a parent of a youth amateur hockey player. The RMU Island Sports Center is the premier ice hockey facility in the area. It is simply fantastic. Lets start with the ice. There are two indoor rinks, a covered outdoor rink, and a covered outdoor deck hockey rink. Of the two indoor rinks, the 84 Lumber Arena s NHL-sized and has fantastic spectator seating. The other rink is an Olympic-sized rink and is aptly named Olympic. The spectator seating is less, but still ample for youth hockey games. There is also great standing area behind the net, both inside the rink and outside the rink in the corridor because of the large windows. Both rinks are very well lit, good ice surface, and nicely maintained. The two outdoor rinks are covered in a large barn-like structure with thick plastic curtains to keep the wind out. One has ice in the winter and the other is for deck hockey/roller hockey year round. They have what looks like a large changing area for mites (very young kids) who always need their parents assistance when changing.) This is nice since most rinks have the kids change anywhere where there's room. (Mites play six teams at a time on a sheet of ice.)There is a pro shop on site, which is always important to have at a hockey rink.Their snack bar is very nice. They serve Starbucks coffee, and they even have a pizza oven! This is a great rink for hockey tournaments, especially for the parents. You will have plenty to do and a very pleasant environment to do it in.

Boyfriend is an avid golfer, I am not. However, I want to learn so that we can hit a course or two this summer. Ironically, this was his (and obviously my) first time here. I mean, let's face it, there's very little reason to travel over this way unless you're going to Big Shot Bob's House of Wings.I arrived after he had already purchased golf balls and met him on the upper level of the range, so I can't comment on prices or the employees. There were a number of golfers also hitting balls, some even appeared to be taking lessons from pros. The location is obviously large and there are more than enough spots to hit balls from, even though I doubt it ever gets extremely busy here. Given that warmer weather is quickly approaching, I don't think I'll be back here until cooler weather returns.

I have never met so many rude people in my life at the snack bar. It took me about 10 seconds to drop what I was doing to go up and grab my order after they called out my order number and they were rude to me and making fun of me. Unbelievable, they then continued to make fun of my friends too and be rude to other people who ordered. Honestly never coming back, I'm concerned with what they even do with the food as well. All of the other employees are great but the people at the snack bar are a disgrace.

Nice place. But I just don't understand some of the parents are constantly texting instead of watching the game. :(
