one start is being generous here. they were out of the crab cakes that's fine so swapped it with the beer battered shrimp. the Reuben was stringy and just rather overpowering with whatever they put in it. I had asked for mashed potatoes w/ gravy and corn ended up with a baked potato and the most pathetic baby carrots I've ever seen in my life like they were frozen and then just tossed in the microwave when needed they were squishy soggy. the kids pizza didn't come with pepperoni ended up having to get a side of it and the chicken would've been great had they sauces it. I don't think I've ever disliked a restaurants food more than I did today. atleast the salald and fries looked good. smh

This is the cutest historic building in this tiny town! I needed a place to stay last minute and was able to check in for 2 weeks at a very reasonable price. The rooms are pretty clean for the most part (the actual room & sheets were clean however the comforter could've used a wash). They have a balcony for smoking if needed. However, the rooms really smell like cigarette (but I guess that's pretty normal for a hotel). They do have a restaurant and bar downstairs (super convenient). The food isn't great but they do have a few things that are definitely worth ordering like their fried cauliflower, Jalapenos and their salads (instead of croutons they use fries! ). Breakfast is pretty basic but definitely the best meal they serve. I wasn't impressed with their dinner but they do have some super yummy soups and pies!! The only negative thing about this inn is that after midnight you are completely on your own (like there is no one else there besides the other guest). Normally, I wouldn't complain. I like my peace and quiet BUT...one night there was another guest next door who was beyond drunk and knocked on my door pretty late and then tried to open my door. At first I thought he/she is drunk and maybe had mistaken his/her room for mine. No biggie...right? Nope, 5 minutes later and I hear knocking and someone trying to open the door again. At that point I realized I had to do something. So I went to the door and asked who was there. I heard a man say "It's me your next door neighbor. Do you run a business? I was confused and asked if I knew him and what he needed. He said no and he got straight to the point and told me he was looking for "sexual services". I was still super confused, tired and irritated at that point! I told him to leave me the hell alone or else I'd be calling the cops but of course being the A-hole that he is he tries to open the door again (these doors don't have dead bolts locks). ( Hindsight, I now understand exactly what he was asking for ). The bar was still open so I decided to call and see what all could be done but I got a very short answer from the bartender and that was "Do what you have to do. Call the cops. Click. (This is probably the only thing that killed my experience there). Everything else was pretty on point and overall a good experience. Pros: Cheap. Quiet. Convenient bar and restaurant downstairs. Beautiful building. Cons: Have to check in by midnight. After midnight you are on your own (I mean completely on your own, unless there are other guest and that could turn into a nightmare pretty quickly) and the lobby doors are open all night long.

Riverside Inn - January 11th 2019 was my Great Grandmother's 88th Birthday and she chose this restaurant because it is her favorite and she always raves about the Chicken Parm. It was a Friday Evening and we were the only ones in the entire restaurant which we found odd. Well we found out why. Everything we ordered was absolutely terrible! 1) Buffalo Chicken Dip - Chunks of chicken with cheese slices poorly melted on top. 2) Chicken Cordon Bleu - Hard as a rock and covered in honey mustard which the bottom of the scoop of mashed potatoes was covered in. 3) Medium Rare Steak - So well done we joked it was a burger. 4) Veal Parm - We had to fight the cook to get it with angel hair pasta. 5) Chicken Alfredo - No sauce at all with fried chicken strips cut up on top. Supposed to be Grilled Chicken. 6) Two Chicken Parms - The cook refused to give Angel Hair Pasta which is what my great grandmother always gets. 7) Garlic Bread - As my great-grandma kept saying, how do you mess that up! Half was soggy and the other half was rock hard. When we asked for the owner we were told they were not allowed to get the owner, that everything went through Barb now and she wasn't there. The waitress also commented that she knows the food looks terrible and the cook told her she had to serve it. (Mind you our server was actually very pleasant and we felt bad for her so best believe she was tipped well) The waitress got our name and number and told us we would get a phone call tomorrow from Barb.As we walk outside, there is the owner standing there! We showed him pictures of the food, he told us how awful it looks and that it was not right and told us that we can always order any type of pasta we want with Veal or Chicken Parm. (We also all made note that as we turned around to look inside the cook and both waitresses were looking at us as they were trying to clear the table as fast as possible. The owner commented that Barb would call us tomorrow and ran inside.Well Barb, I have called you now three times since then and left messages with your bartender and your cook who always say "oh she just left".Thank you for ruining my Great-Grandma's birthday and all of our opinions of your restaurant. Terrible Customer Service by a "Girlfriend Owner" that must not actually care about her business to find 5 minutes to make a phone call to make this right.Oh Barb, in case you lost it, my number is 724.344.9850.Thanks Riverside!

My family and I eat here quite often. Food is always pretty good. Usually nice and quiet. Much more personable place to eat compared to the food chain restaurants. The con is that there is not a large menu selection.

Omg only two families in the place. Took over 3 hours. The cook came out with one of our steaks and held it up to see if we thought it was cooked enough. Stay clear the food was terrible and service wven worse!
