we went on sunday, the day before labor day. we pulled up the drive & had no idea where to go. we didn't see any signs. it's a huge building, several floors, with doors above & below, as well as parking. we opted for the lower level as we saw 1 of those big white tents with windows. there were tables & chairs inside, but looked empty. another car pulled up by the tent. we went in 2 different doors, but ended up in the same room! the place was lit but empty. right after they came in, a woman came thru the same door, i guess the owner?, with an oh, when she saw us. she called someone & said to come help. she started getting glasses out when the other woman arrived, so she left. we looked over the wine list. their wines are all made with pa. grapes, so we knew it wasn't going to set our world on fire. but, they did try something new-grapes brought in from california! a cabernet sauvignon & a zinfandel from lodi! aged in oak barrels! well, now! we tried each. man! all you had to do was barrel & then bottle them! while they tasted like california, they didn't have that deep, luscious taste. out of obligation, we bought a bottle of each. but we weren't happy about it!it was a huge building, but we only saw the bottom left corner room, the gift shop/tasting room. i have no idea what's inside the rest of the building. it was clean. the gift shop had some gifts. if you like light wines, sweet wines, it's here.

The vineyard is tucked into the town of Monongahela , just outside of Pittsburgh, on a beautiful 10 acre family property that has been around for 36 years. I tried their new Traminette wine which I really loved. It had the most amazing floral aroma, citrus notes, and a bitter finish that reminded me of an ale. We were also treated to an amazing spread by @thecheesequeenpgh , pizza and sandwiches by @owenpucel , and a fantastic tour by owners Rich and Janelle. I, obviously a beer girl, learned SO much about wine this visit. What makes this spot unique is that they grown their own grapes . I can also tell that the love and care these great people put into their family business makes it very special place as well.

Cute Winery Outside of PGHWe had such a great time checking out this lovely family owned and operated winery about 45 mins or so south of Pittsburgh. If you're looking for something to do over the long weekend, grab a DD and make the scenic drive over to Monongahela. Rich and Janelle were so kind and funny - with tons of knowledge & fun facts to share. They put a lot of work and love into all of their wines. We had a great evening at their vineyard & winery outside of Pittsburgh & feel it's worth the drive, especially on a beautiful day! They regularly host happy hours with food & live entertainment. Definitely worth checking out for a true fully PA winery and vineyard experience. Many PA wineries just buy grapes or juice fr other producers, Repipi has been growing their own grapes for more than 30 years, pretty cool.Everyone who worked here was so nice and friendly. We had a great visit.

Pleasant interaction and great tasting. We fell for three bottles and can't wait to drink them at home. The strawberry wine has a generous tone of natural local berries. Every variety of wine that you could wish to find. Quality family owned location. Worth the trip. Just follow your gps

Ripepi is a hidden gem located deep in the south hills of Pittsburgh. This family owned and operated winery provided customers a wealth of information, and good conversation in general! They truly care about their customers and giving them the best experience. I recently tried their dry rose and really liked it. I'm usually not a fan of rose but this was really good! If you're in the area, or want to take a nice little day trip, head on down to Ripepi!

One of the Best wines in Western Pennsylvania...I live maybe 10 minutes from Ripepi Winery. This place is me and my wife's favorite winery. I have tried wines in North East, and Central PA, Napa Valley and all over the midwest. This place is a small winery that has some very good wines. Everything I've tried here is always terrific. The red wines that are my favorite is Cabernet Sauvignon, Chancellor, Malbec, DeChaunac, Maréchal Foch, Steuben, and my whites consist of the Diamond Dry goes down dry but the aftertaste is a sweet fruity flavor, and Vidal Blanc. I'm a dry to semi-dry person. However I've tried all of them and they are all good. This place is wonderful. Everyone from the owner to the staff is always so wonderful and helpful. Free wine tasting, The place has monthly events sometimes on Fridays they have happy hours, and social events on Sunday's in the summer. They have a case club where you can sign up and have 3 bottles delivered to your house every 3 months. Please take my advice and visit this place one time. It will be worth your while.

Had time to kill so we stopped at this winery for a tasting. We got there just before it was open and since the door was open we went in. We were greeted by Marge and she was such a pleasure. She found out our likes and was generous with the quantity of samples. There was something for everyone. The shop was decorated for fall and was adorable. There was a room in back for small celebrations. We are not from the area so going above and beyond, Marge helped us plan our day be recommending places to go see (Nemacolin Castle) and places to eat and drink (Twelve Oaks). Her suggestions were excellent. She called and made sure they were open, gave us directions and printed us a map. It was a lovely start to our day!

The place is VERY underrated. My friends and I have been wanting to go to winery with an ACTUAL vineyard and where they make their OWN wine. This place is super cute and workers were super nice, we met the owner and the women at the front desk was very passionate about the winery process. She was super accommodating and informative. She let us try 3 wines before buying a bottle. The wine was very good as well. We highly recommend and will be back. They also have events coming up soon at the vineyard.
