Food: Delicious yet elevated and refined Indian food. The presentation was gorgeous. Drink: Chaat drink - pass and would not recommend. Dessert: The gulab jamun was excellent. It was served warm and it was pillowy and soaked all the way through just like it should be. The ras malai was good too but nothing spectacular. Service: Fast and good. Parking: Plenty of street parking. There is Home Depot nearby so you could park there for free and walk over.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*We are thrilled to have discovered this gem in Pittsburgh! Parking was surprisingly easy, with ample roadside spots available.Service was unfortunately sluggish, even on a weekday evening. This was a notable drawback, costing them a star in my rating. We ordered a variety of dishes, including:- Masala orange drink (4/5): a spicy and refreshing treat reminiscent of Indian Goli soda- Palak chat (3/5): an interesting combination of flavors, but a tad oily due to fried palak- Veg fried rice (5/5): a kid-friendly hit! We ordered it mild and specified it was for kids - our little ones loved it- Pahadi paneer tikka (5/5): spicy and full of flavor- Paneer lababdar (5/5): rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of spices (request a higher spice level for an extra kick!)- Garlic naan (4/5): fresh and flavorful, but a bit thicker than I prefer (I'm a thin naan fan!)- Kulfi (2.5/5): unfortunately, it didn't quite meet our expectations. The texture was harder than we liked, and the Rose, Mango and Fig flavors didn't shine through distinctlyThe ambiance was also noteworthy - vibrant colors and a lively atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience.Overall, I'm impressed by the quality of food, which rivals some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. Highly recommended!

Food - 5 stars. Dine-in experience - 1 star. I'd been meaning to try out this place for a little while and finally made it by. I was greeted at the host stand and shown to a table. The tables are communal and all with wood benches - no seat backs. I had forgotten it was BYOB, but it was just as well. I didn't really need a drink on this evening. After being seated, I waited. And waited. And waited. So long that I'd begun to think that I was supposed to get up and go to the counter and order. They weren't busy - less than 1/4 of the seats were occupied. I read the menu three times, looked at every photo of the food on Yelp and Google, then pointedly stared at the man behind the counter for a while. The server did eventually come around - a soft spoken young man with zero personality. I sort of felt like I was placing my order at a kiosk. The food came out reasonably quickly after I ordered, but the service continued to be almost non-existent. He didn't check back, ask if I needed anything else, etc. He just dropped the food without a word and left, coming back only to allow me to pay. Even that was done with minimal service (he just held out the terminal for me to tap without even showing me the total). Even getting a box was an awkward exchange. It didn't appear that I was the only one with service issues either. The group of four next to me was struggling as well. They all ordered together. One person received his first item. A few minutes later, his second item came. No one else had gotten their food when I left a few minutes after that. Again, it just seemed like very little thought was going into the service experience. The food was really good though. I got the samosa chaat, the goat cheese naan, and the lamb korma. He told me the spice scale was 1-10 and I chose a 6. The samosa chaat was really good and suitably spicy. I meant to eat half and take the rest home, but it was so good that I finished it all. I'd order it without onion the next time, but that's just my preference. The naan was very good as well, with just a hint of goat cheese flavor. The korma wasn't really spicy at all, but I enjoyed it all the same. Tender lamb and a flavorful sauce with perfect rice. All in all, the dine in experience was lacking in both comfort and service, but the food was excellent. I would definitely order takeout, but I can't say there was anything about the dine-in experience that inspired me to return.

This is a gem of an Indian restaurant in East Liberty. The dishes are superb. Very well spiced, cooked to perfection and good sized portions. We got a chicken tandoori appetizer. I'm used to tandoori chicken being dry. This was not! It was very moist and really nice flavors, served with thinly sliced onions and peppers. We also got the assorted samosa plater. Again, I'm used to samosas having a thick doughy crust. This was super flaky, it seemed to be made of filo dough, making the samosas very light and delicious! We also had a goan salmon curry, saag paneer and Chana masala. And raita. I've had better raita. But it was still good. Oh, and throw in garlic and Zatar! Naans. We will definitely be going back!

We went for yet another amazing meal at Reva yesterday night! They're BYOB which is lovely because we had wine with our meal. The service was pretty quickly and did they a great job with coming to check on us, especially when they saw me looking in the general direction of where the front of the restaurant towards the register. We got a level 7.5 spice which was perfect. The chicken vindaloo was incredible and the sauce was so good we got another order to naan to soak it up. The salmon tikka was delightful and we had to get another order of it. The wings special was so good my friend got an order just for himself. They even gave us a sneak preview of a dessert that's not even on the menu yet!

A very enjoyable destination. We ordered takeout, and the ordering experience was great. Placing an order was easy, and everything was ready exactly when it was expected to be (actually, about 5 minutes early). The food was very flavorful with a wide variety of different styles of dishes. They offer a 4-point scale for spice preferences, and we opted for a 3 on every dish. At least for us, that was a good level: we were glad we didn't opt for a 4.The tomato soup was very nicely spiced, and a bit off beat for an Indian restaurant. The dal was very well done with a complex balance of flavors. The channa masala was fantastic, with a slightly different blend of flavors than I've experienced with that dish in the past. The only minor point of confusion was the "green salad", which was a fresh vegetable spread, but not necessarily what I would have expected for something labeled that way (e.g., there was no lettuce involved). That's probably my own lack of cultural awareness and not an actual problem with the restaurant. In terms of the space, I only spent a limited amount of timing in the restaurant picking up our order, but it seemed very comfortable and well ordered. The restaurant presents itself as a slightly more classy Indian destination, but it certainly didn't feel stuffy or uncomfortable. It looked like a great place to meet up with friends. All told, this was a great culinary experience that I would definitely recommend.

We decided to give Reva a try for takeout and it did not disappoint. I love that they have combo options that include the main, rice, panner (cheese), naan and a small dessert for $20! The portion is just right for 1 with no leftovers. I had the Korma with chicken and my husband had the Butter Chicken. Both were super delicious. We ordered mild to test the spice level and there was still a kick. The naan was on the chewy side, but that could be from sitting in foil during delivery. The paneer was SPICY, but I loved the texture and taste. We can't wait to go back and dine in. We ordered the potato samosas as well.

A great Indian restaurant with plenty of street parking and communal tables. It got busy on a week night. The food didn't take long and was very filling. The garlic naan was really good. Everything had great flavor and not overpowering. I was a bit disappointed that the eggplant dish was mostly sauce and 3 tiny eggplants. I will definitely go back to try more dishes.

The food here is both beautiful and tasty! The decor is very chic and modern. All of the foods were ordered were wonderful but the papadi chaat was absolutely the best. I'm looking forward to coming back for more items on the menu!
