Cool spot downtown Altoona with great beers.Grapefruit hazy IPA has lots of grapefruit flavor, the pink lemonade summer shandy is so refreshing and crushable, and the hazy IPAs remind me of home (WA)! We'd come back here for sure.

Tried this establishment again a few weeks ago. I'd have to say nothing has changed. Antisocial staff, poor variety of beer, less than average atmosphere. This place is in dire need of a staff and marketing makeover. That said, I WANT THIS PLACE TO DO WELL, seems no one is putting in the effort.

Good selection and variety of beers on tap, including a really nice cider and the light blond ale. They need to keep the tap list up-to-date on the website, but very friendly staff willing to let you try a taste. Im interested in going back to have the Orange IPA I tasted. I hope people go and keep this place busy.

This was our first time at Railroad City Brewing Company. Cool place with a relaxed atmosphere. We tried four different beers in a flight ($7), and I had a pint of the Irish Red Ale. It was good. They have an interesting mix of their own beers on tap. We didn't try any of their snacks since we went to dinner at Bold next door afterward. Great to have a small brewery in the area and a good place to meet friends. I recommend checking it out.

Railroad City Brewing is simple, straightforward quality. The taste speaks for itself. No fuss no muss, just a focus on tweaking and experimenting w tasty ingredients and creating always drinkable, smooth home-brew style beer. Truthfully, I've never been much of a drinker- the taste is always too much of this or too strong of that. Railroad City really gets the balance right and I find myself making trips just to try new flavors and drawn back before they go off tap. The guys are great, easy going and easy to talk to. And they have interesting, local live music every weekend. They support the local art/music scene. "Beer usually tastes better closer to its source". With the brew system in the basement, it doesn't get much closer than that!

I enjoy the beer. Unfortunately the customer service is awful. They're not friendly. They have no personality. The overall atmosphere is good but all could be so much better!! There was a street fair downtown tonight and the place was empty!! Be more personable!!

Simply put, if you like small batch craft beer this place is for you! They feature several of their own beer creations that constantly rotate on tap. Ranging from light-ish Ales to Double IPA's and stouts. They also feature guest beers from other local craft breweries. They also have some local wines to enjoy. The food menu leaves a lot to be desired, but it doesn't tout itself as a restaurant so you can't expect a full meal. Mostly just light pub grub is available. The atmosphere is great with the historic Altoona area Railroad in mind. Nicely appointed and clean. Local musicians are also often featured for your live entertainment pleasure. So, stop on by and enjoy a couple beers with friends. You won't be disappointed.

Straightforward brewery. All about the beer, ciders and seltzers. No food or swag options. Little bit of merchandising could add a little walking money to the owners pockets but they seem happy just focusing on the beer. The pink lemonade seltzer is stupid good. Both ciders are smooth semi sweet and good. The mad wheat ale is solid as well.

This place has potential. The beer is decent, the interior is really cool, but the bartender working has "0" personality. Asked about the brewery and just tried simple conversation and the guy was only interested in some stupid T.V. show they had on and talking to a local. The experience quite literally soured my opinion of this place. Management find someone who will help grow your business not sit around and gossip with the locals.
