Pub Chip Shop Food Truck

I've always enjoyed the brick and mortar and was excited to try the food truck. I ordered fish and chips and was not disappointed. $10 got me two hefty portions of fresh and crispy fish as well as a ton of chips. The fish was just awesome. The chips were perfectly salted and nice and crispy. Best food truck meal that I've ever had. I would make a special trip to find this truck again. The fish and chips were actually much better than a lot we had this summer in England. I can't recommend them more.

If you are familiar with The Pub Chip Shop restaurant on the South Side, this is the mobile version of it, with a slightly smaller menu than the brick & mortar location. Today I caught the truck for lunch in Foster Plaza, Bldg. #9, where it was on site from 11-2. I had a Scotch Egg, along with some Chips w/Gravy. Both items were delicious. They also have drinks, and condiments available.

Spotted outside of PPG Paints Arena! Settled on trying the Thai Fish Tacos which were great. The breading on the fish is light and fluffy which goes perfect with the Napa Cabbage and Thai Sauce. The sauce has a nice sweet taste with a touch of heat which is again complimented by the Napa Cabbage. You get 2 for $8. Not into fish? They offer these with chicken as well. A few other items include standard fish n' chips (or chicken), chips with cheese or gravy, Mac n' Cheese and a very tempting Scotch Egg. It will be mine next time! Ohh yes, it will be mine! The service was fast and friendly while the truck itself appeared very clean and organized. Sometimes food trucks can be a scary sight if you are a sanitary nut butt his one was in great shape. If you see them roaming around, make sure to give them a try.

The Pub Chip Shop Food Truck is always a favorite at my workplace! I recently ordered the fries with both cheese and gravy on the side. The fries were perfectly crispy and delicious both on their own or paired with a sauce. The employee that helped me was particularly friendly, and I enjoyed my brief chat with him. This food truck is a winner, and I look forward to eating from here again sometime soon!

Delicious food! Highly suggest stopping for delicious tacos, chicken tenders, fish and of course the delicious fries. The homemade ranch is also amazingly delicious.

This is the us of a...we seem to like our chips more fried. Hence fries not chips.Fabulous. I just spoke to your employee as you stood there and did nothing at the round about brewery.I told diana on numerous occasions about the unsanitary practice of your employee. Now to finally say something many months later after my food poisoning that lasted 2 weeks. And my observation you and your employee of food handling. And you doing zero when he got angry as you finally handed him gloves. Anytime I see your truck and unhealthy and uncertified food handling I will call the health department. By your employees actions this evening with the coronavirus epidemic, I find your actions appalling and criminal. You are choosing to put people at risk. I sat and watched your employee handle money and food prepare food, dig in his pockets, scratch his shoulder, and you stood and did zero. I should have sued you when I was socked from your ongoing unhealthy establishment. I will never allow a person of disgust stand in my face, your employee and tell me I am a liar and no one gas ever gotten sick. Well; I did!!! I told diana after it happened and I saw the same behavior; unsanitary food handler! Thanks for tipping the scale, now to visit your main restaurant and see what fulness is there. I love the fish I stop there at least two times a week. Me and my husband many times just get the fish. It is so crunchy and they have the best prices.

This food truck came to our office. Amazing biscuits, as big as your head. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The menu also is incredibly broad with offerings from donuts to biscuits and gravy to run-of-the-mill breakfast sandwiches. I will definitely be lined up the next time this food truck is around. I will also plan to look them up the next time I'm in Southside!
