I'm kind of surprised to see folks referring to this as the best venue in Pittsburgh. I did not receive that impression. I attended the Four Chord pre-show earlier this summer, featuring Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 408, and some other performers. They didn't start the show on time and had us waiting outside. It was hot inside the venue too, which I didn't love. But the worst part about the experience was the sound. It was SO echoey. Maybe they were having an off night, but I was really regretting not having earplugs with me. The sets were good regardless, and it was nice that they had pew seating along the sides, but I wasn't otherwise super impressed with the venue itself.

I'm glad to see they moved to the basement of that old church because they upstairs was brutal on the ears. Way too much echo in the air. In the fall i saw Unearth, Entheos and Revocation upstairs and was glad I brought earplugs. But now I hear that all changed, it am looking forward to going to Chaos and Carnage.

I feel like this place is a hidden gem. They have a pretty sizable record store, a bar, and while I didn't see it, they have a kitchen for food. There's very close access to the stage which makes the concert feel intimate, and there's a decent sized floor to hang around at. They have a pretty big balcony with pews to sit at, and it was an unexpected surprise that it's available to folks at no extra charge, it's just first come first serve. Right next to the balcony there's a room that has couches to sit at, and while you can't really see the stage there, they have a projection screen showing the band that's on stage. I didn't get any drinks or food, but the website advertised the spot as being cash only, so I'd keep that in mind if you planned on just taking a credit card. I think they've also done a great job of landing some bands that I at least consider legendary (Exodus and The Cro-Mags). I think they're definitely worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of punk and/or metal.

Unprofessional and dishonest seller who demonstrates no understanding of music collecting or being kind. Items purchased online were not as graded, in very poor condition, and seller took no responsibility, resorted to juvenile name-calling to intimidate me for making a claim for a refund. He also engaged in Feedback Extortion and stated he would only issue a refund if I gave him positive feedback, which I did not. PayPal read all of our communications, deemed him a bully, and gave me a full refund. There are nice people out there to purchase from, so do not give this store your business and shop elsewhere. No doubt he will demonstrate his personality disorder by leaving a mean-spirited retort to this review.
