We were surprised to see there is a new restaurant in this location from the last time we were in the area. Point Street Tavern is even better than the other restaurant! We quickly seated ourselves and ordered our food at the counter. The atmosphere is quaint and the decor tells the story of the town. My husband had the steak salad, which was cook perfectly. The salad dressing was just right - not too sweet. I enjoyed the pierogies, (a classic for any Pittsburgher) and the bacon cheeseburger. We split the Dark Chocolate Spiced Brownie Sunday. The brownie has walnuts and a little kick of cayenne and cinnamon. Yum! We will definitely come again!

This place was amazing! I would describe the food as artisanal. The combinations of ingredients, and actual preparation was superb. Seriously delicious food. The decor was cool, and there were three rooms with seat yourself tables. (At least three -- we didn't actually go into the "canal room," but I don't think there were more rooms beyond it.)The staff, and other patrons, were friendly in a comfortable way -- not artificial or creepy. We chose this place based on the great Yelp reviews, and I'm glad we did

We came in right off of kayaking to this sweet place. The food was excellent. Had grilled chicken tacos that had a crunchy griddled cheese in it and amazing flavor. Also had the cheese steak which was also excellent. The staff or owners were super nice, and the decor is an eclectic antique style that was fun to check out. They had a pizza in special that we didn't get, but it sounded amazing. Fresh peaches, prosciutto, fresh mozz, basil and a balsamic glaze. Would love to go back again for another food experience.

Great place in a small town. After biking on both the Western Heritage Trail and the West Penn trail, we were ready for some food and drinks! Their open time on Saturday changed from 12 to 2, most likely due to COVID, but luckily we didn't have to wait too long. They have a good variety of both food and beer. We got an array of food, to include a bacon cheeseburger, "Point Street Frank" hotdogs (my husband wouldn't stop raving about these and wanted to order more even though he was full!), "Point Street Grilled Cheese", a "Build your own grilled cheese" with veggies, tater tots, and a "Point Street Pretzel". Everything was good - a bit greasy, but good! They have less greasy options, like salads, hummus, a chicken sandwich...but that's obviously not what we were in the mood for, seeing our order! They also had several dessert options, including icecream, but we were definitely too full after our food. The beer selection was great. They basically had something for everyone on tap - an IPA, a lager, a sour, a couple ciders, an amber, a stout, a fruited wheat, etc - plus several options in a bottle. When you place your order, you go up to the counter, and pay, or open a tab. Sometimes it was hard to get their attention if you needed something, but they do have a bell to ring if everyone is in the back cooking. The place was fairly busy, but it didn't feel crowded at all. The staff wore masks and everything seemed clean. The tables were spaced out and they also offered additional picnic tables outside also. We chose to sit inside this time because the heat kicked up and the picnic tables were right in the sun.I heard "I love this place!" from both my husband and one of my friends. I had been here once before, last year, and had a similarly pleasant experience then too. We'll definitely be back again whenever we're in town.

This place is cuuuuuttteee. Recently open and I mean very recently, as we went on day three of operations. Now we were kayaking nearby and upon return, the place we rented the kayaks from told us about the pleasant little Tavern that opened up right down the street. We were hungry having just navigating the river for a few hours and decided to try them. Excellent decision. It was Labor Day and typically they are only open on the weekends and I believe Thursday evening but it was opening weekend and a holiday so they must have made an exception. I bet they were happy that they did because in the time we were sitting there the place filled up to capacity! This tavern is charming and who does not want a beer to sip on after a hot trek down the river. You almost expect they would not have alcohol, but they do and craft beers on draft to boot! They have a very simple menu, but they will customize. I went with the Anti-pasta skewer, but I customized it quite a bit that it was not at all what they intended. It was supposed to come with a skewer of Italian meats, mozzarella balls, tomatoes, and olives over a bed of greens. I requested a big change up. Chicken no Italian meats and add ever veggie you have including apples. Wow! This salad was awesome! However, for the $10.00 price tag it was too small. It needs to either be bigger, or cut down to about $7.00. Service was very nice but a little slow, but there was only the one woman working the bar. There is no table service, you order at the bar and chose a table if you like. We would definitely make a return visit next time we are in the area for kayaking.

After kayaking for over 2 hours down the river we were hungry and thirsty. We rented kayaks and upon returning the kayak they told us about this new restaurant next door that we should try. They said they just opened 3 days ago and that they had craft beer. We were sold! Also it's always good to add a new restaurant to Yelp and be the first to review them. We walked in and it's a cute new restaurant. We walked all of the way in to find that the bar area was towards the back. There was no hostess or wait stuff. You find a seat and order at the bar for food and drinks. We got there when it opened so it wasn't busy but it got pretty full soon after. We sat down and it's a nice little bar area. We thought that the television should be placed in a different location because it was hard to see if you were watching a game but other than that it was a neat area. We got their menus and orders some beer. The bartender was nice and helped us with the menu. Their new menu offers sandwiches, pizza, and salads. The pizza is small and a little over priced but I ordered the Martin and my wife got a salad. Carrie wanted to add chicken to her salad and they were able to do that. You could tell that they were still new with everything but the food came out quick and good. Carrie's salad didn't come out the way she wanted it but the lady in the kitchen came out right away to make sure and she fixed it. Carrie really liked her salad she just wish it was bigger. My sandwich was perfect. There was a lot of turkey and it all came together quite nicely. It came with homemade chips and they were good too. We had a few beers and they were good too. I had a wheat Hefeweizen and Carrie for the All Saints IPA. It's a nice little restaurant for this town. This is the first that we had been to Saltsburg but we will be kayaking again and we will definitely try out this new restaurant for a beer and more food.
