Got a referral from a friend that was in the pizza business to give Pronto Pizza a try. Looking for an honest pizza place. With lots of pizza places around always looking for a place different from the masses. They have a fairly large and varied menu from pizza, appetizers burgers, crab cakes and wraps. We only got pizza and a salad. We took advantage of the 2 large cheese pizza special and on one got pepperoni and mushrooms. The dough was very airy nicely chewy. The cheese mix was tasty and plenty on both pizzas. The sauce was applied plenty on both. The salad was expected. Overall definitely will go back. Give them a try.

Pizza Pronto is "Pittsburgh Pizza" but is still the best pie in 15202. The staff is always friendly and service is always quick. Prices are a bit higher than other local pizza joints, but the pride in their food shows.

I ordered takeout online via Yelp. I ordered a personal pizza and some wings. It was ready about a half hour later. The pickup was very easy. Staff were very nice. The place itself is larger than I thought. The food was great and my order was correct. I've been wanting to try our new pizza spots around me and I'll definitely keep this one in rotation. Its also easy to find parking nearby!

One day I'm going to get write reviews and talk about the whole dine in experience again. Thanks Covid-19. I moved to the Avalon area about a month ago and we celebrated our first night in the new apartment with pizza and a salad from Pizza Pronto.The pizza crust was good. The cheese was undeniably way too thick. The next day I went to grab a cold slice from the fridge it was easily a half inch or more thick. Much much thicker than the actual crust. You might like this, I didn't. It was better cold to me than it was fresh when we got it home. It did have a great variety of veggies although it lacked the broccoli that was listed in the description. The chicken Caesar salad wasn't anything to write about home. The lettuce seemed a little lifeless. It wasn't crunchy. Reminded me of lettuce I'd put on a sandwich rather than in a salad. Giving them 3 stars because it wasn't the worst meal I've had but there are too many pizza options in this city, and even our little neighborhood to be completely sold on them.

This place has been pretty consistent over the last few years. I can always depend on hot, fresh pizza delivered in under 30 minutes. The sauce taste more like a marinara and a good amount of cheese of top. Toppings are great, but I don't mind a good meat lover's pizza.Wingdust wings are also a favorite in my house.The gyros are good as well. The lamb meat seems to be sliced off a skewer and heated on a grill. The meat is very well seasoned and juicy. I normally go for the gyro platter because I can add my own desired amount of extras, without being overwhelmed with lettuce, sauce, tomatoes and onions.The only thing I wont recommend is ordering a gyro near closing. Otherwise, best pizza and gyros in the area.

Ordered a gyro and pulled pork sandwich both with fries. Gyro was very generous on portion but didn't matter cuz your going to want to eat it all!! Taziki sauce was good they made sure to give a good amount which was nice for the extra meat. Pulled pork had good flavor nice and smokey and could have been shared! Will be back!!!
