Great spot for an "outdoor" concert under a pavillion. Saw Norm Nardini yesterday and it was a good time! A very well managed venue! Good acoustics, great food from Ronnie "Moondog" Esser's crew, plenty of libation choices...everything reasonably priced. Rest rooms were clean and stocked.Terrific place for music, and they have a lot of shows lined up for the summer! Check it out!

Shriners Center in Cheswick had been hosting music events pre-COVID such as the Pittsburgh Blues and Roots Festival for several years. They recently reopened with 25% capacity and social distancing in place as well as mask requirements. The stage is an outdoor covered pavilion type setting with a high roof and open ends on three of the four sides. The one side is concessions and includes food and alcohol sales. I attended my first concert there on August 8 and the facility and patrons did a very nice job of obeying all of Allegheny County's rules for masks and social distancing. It was so great to hear live music again. Look them up on Facebook to find their concert schedule, there will be weekly music on Thursdays. Restrooms are in a building outside. Only four people are allowed per table and the chairs are distanced 6 feet apart. All tables are distanced 6 feet apart & are pre-sanitized before events. Masks are required when walking around and no idle standing is allowed. You are supposed to wear your mask unless you're eating or drinking at your table. This is a really great venue in the summertime and I hope it keeps going! #SaveOurStages
