What can I say? Definitely the closest thing I've had to an In and Out burger this side of the Mississippi. Their burger tastes delicious and that special sauce is addicting. It's also great that they are located at Strange Roots so you can grab some good beer as well.

One of my favorite local takes on Nashville hot chicken. Minus one time that really brought on lingering heat, I've had 4-5 consistently spiced sandwiches. Added bacon this time after trying adding a fried egg the time prior. The breading is crunchy deliciousness but not overpoweringly spicy. I'm happy this is consistently at strange roots just a few minutes drive away.

Stand alone location of the Pittsburgh Sandwich Society. Quick and easy to order. The In and Aht burger was delicious and very remeniscint of another burger by a similar name. Definitely beats traveling to the West Coast!Loaded fries were spicy, but flavorful. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches!Stop by during their open hours and grab some food to go!

I got them up at the Hop Culture Juicy Brews beer festival. Not my first time having their food. Today I had the crispy chicken sandwich. Not sure if it was all the beer or not but it was delicious. I've had their hot chicken before and loved it. Not as much of a fan of their burgers. This today was perfect and hot the spot. One of the top food trucks in the 'Burg.

So three stars may seem a little harsh being that I only had one sandwich and fries from here. However, I will say upfront I plan to try their take on the In n Out burger but should warn them I am from California, so I know what the original taste like. The hot chicken sandwich was good in theory, but it lacked flavor. When I have beaten into a spicy chicken in the past, it was full of flavor and spice. This was a good piece of chicken, on good bread, and nice pickles but no real flavor profile was picked up on. I will try again but wasn't blown away like I was hoping.

AMAZING!!! I had an unbelievable experience during Sunday brunch at Pittsburgh Sandwich Society's new outdoor lot spot. They paired with Dancing Gnome to have a Sunny Side Up Brunch. I have always heard great things about their sandwiches but sadly never experienced them myself. We started with beers - I had Between the Trees which is a summer stout and my boyfriend tried The Jam. Both were great! I enjoyed a nice summer beer as we sat waiting for our food in the sunshine. Then, we got our food. Oh my goodness! We split the Donut Fried Chicken and the Everything Breakfast Bagel. I tried the bagel one first. Sooooo great! It had bacon, avocado cream cheese, spring mix, tomatoes, and that fantastic yinz jam. This was all squeezed together with a Pigeon everything bagel. I think my favorite part was the cream cheese, which I'm normally not crazy about. The second sandwich I purposely saved for last. I am SO glad I did because my tastebuds went crazy. These were Just Good Donuts with fresh, fried chicken. It also had cheese, jalapeños, and a honey carrot aioli. I added an egg because everything is better with an egg! The combo of the glazed donut and chicken was so many different flavors coming together! I will certainly be back to eat many more amazing sandwiches soon!!

Such a cute food truck. It looked like they have a garden next to them with fresh ingredients. For COVID they have this neat food chute that your food slides down and onto a table. Great food and friendly service. I loved the pork sandwich it totally hit the spot! Their fries were yummy too! It was hard to not eat them all in the car on the way home.

TLDR: the sandwich was great, the salad (dressing) was inedible, Coke in a can; not worth the $14 Lunch Special but the Sandwiches are worth their price(s)Kinda sloppily (is that a word?) put together, but the flavor is there. I wouldn't shy away from the spicy-avocado sauce because it's not overly hot. The prices on their website are different than their new menu (off by $1). And their new menu has one or two new sandwiches. Also, what's Mexican Coke? Because I got a can of classic. It's made-to-order, It's not "fast food"; i'd guess a regular ten minute late. The trucker sauce was a bit of a disappointment. Idk if they just didnt shake the bottle first, but my serving was 90% oil (yuck!) I would have devoured this salad had they given me a side order of spicy-avocado sauce.I'm debating between three and four stars because I'm a fan of the "idea", and the sandwich delivered... but I feel slightly misled. Definitely not a perfect/5-Star experience for me though.

Delicious! Had the chicken sandwich at GristHouse in Millvale -- it was delicious. Like, as good as any sit down restaurant. I would definitely eat from this truck again!
