Found this little gem near market square. The outer exterior of the restaurant is humble but don't let that sway you away because the food is great. We ordered two items on our recent visit -- the house bowl 2 and house burrito 1. The portions were generous especially the rice. The only change I would make next time is to ask for less rice and to switch the white rice to brown rice. The seafood in both the dishes were delicious and the sauces drizzled on top added a nice touch. The lady who prepared our dishes was quite fast and so I guess this is fast food in a way but not in the typical sense because the food is healthy. Carb heavy but you can definitely customize your bowl/burrito the way you want. Delicious! 5 stars hands down.

I've been to this restaurant probably a dozen times, and have had it delivered a few times. The food is rather inconsistent, depending on who is making your bowl or box, similar to somewhere like Chipotle where you will either get loaded up or get a regular / small portion. The quality of the fish is just average, tastes like typical pre-frozen fish with no real additional preparation done to it (salmon has never tasted buttery here, no real meatyness to the tuna, it tastes almost flavorless), sometimes it is a little fishy but this is more rare. The other toppings are fine, same as you would get anywhere else, the only stand-out is that avocado is included in the poke bowl without an additional charge (as of writing). The restaurant has outdated decor, but I rarely have seen anyone eating here, it's a place almost everyone gets takeout or delivery from. The prices are higher than somewhere like JJ Poke (which is all-around better in my evaluation), but Pittsburgh Poke is open on Saturdays, which JJ is not. Their boxes are your best option for affordability, their bowls are $1-2 too expensive, and their boba is mediocre for the $6-7 asking price, would not recommend it.The restaurant is counter service, and they have always been speedy getting orders out in a timely manner. Overall this is just an average restaurant, so it gets an average rating of 3 stars. If you are going to come here, get the bento box with a full sized roll (not tempura roll), but there are better options in the city for the price.

This location in the south side opened just a couple of weeks ago so of course my trusty sidekick and I had to try it out and wow what a flavor explosion! The fish and all the other ingredients were so fresh and delish and the person helping us was very patient and gave us great recommendations! I really didn't think I'd like mango in our classic burrito or in the Pittsburgh poke bowl but just do it - it was a nice balance to the heat we had in both dishes. Lots of space to eat and location and as nice and clean - want to come back for sure and try more !

IF YOURE WONDERING "is this the same poke place that was downtown by the McDonalds"? IT IS. SAME OWNERS AND TEAM. i could not be more happy that they are back in service. the food is just as good as I remember it - fresh, tasty, and lots of awesome. the space is also a lot bigger than their downtown location too. i'm so happy they are back.

I ordered through postmates and got a wildly incorrect order (though correct enough to know that it was still mine). The food that I did get was very tasty! The vegetarian and vegan options are lovely and I've been on the search for a good sushi burrito since I moved here a year ago. Unfortunately, the tamago sashimi I ordered was not included. The burrito I ordered was almost delivered, but as a bowl instead of a burrito. A surprise additional sushi burrito was included but, unfortunately, my partner and I do not eat meat and fish so we had to give it to neighbours. The food that did arrive was very good, but I do wish that more attention to detail was there.

This place is meh. I got the sushi burrito and my friend got the avocado cucumber roll and they were both just okay - she thought that the avocado might be frozen. For a $20 sushi burrito I expect a big portion but it came out looking much smaller than I expected. Also I know we're in Pennsylvania but I didn't think the fish was very fresh at all. The ambiance is whatever, I came in at like 7 pm and all the chairs were stacked up and the owners had locked the doors for some reason but they let us in. Also the front glass on the front door is smashed. I'm not sure where these high reviews are coming from, I think since I'm from the coast I have higher standards for sushi. I would come back to try their bento box though, I'm a believer in second chances and it seems like a pretty good deal.

Clean and quiet. Service was incredible and fast. The food does not disappoint either. The pork belly buns are INCREDIBLE! The Crab Rangoon are delicious. The wrapper is thin but crispy and the filling is better than any other ones I've ever had. All of the sushi rolls I've ordered have not disappointed either. I can't recommend this place more. It's so good I've ordered from them on a Friday and again on Sunday. Definitely worth it!

My boyfriend ordered through door dash the first time today. We eat sushi very often and I have never smelled fish more awful. The nigiri was just a mountain of rice with three pieces of fish on top and the tobiko looked like something I have never seen before. The "tobiko" seems like freezer burnt ikura, and once again the smell is unlike anything I've had with sushi before. Just opening the containers my fingers stink. Never again
