Pike Inn - a Johnstown classic

I have to start out by saying, never judge a book by its cover is true, because this place isn't what it seems from the outside or inside at all. Lol! My MIL wanted to come here and eat based on what she heard (good things), so we came on out after she had surgery. The place is small, one side is the bar, the other side is the dining room and it's not huge either - but it's very very casual. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered "The Gobbler" and the bun itself was good enough to eat alone. I'm not sure what type they used, but it was sooo yummy! The Turkey was very good and thick, too. I opted for American cheese on it, and I think that made the whole sandwich come together. My son ordered salmon and he gobbled it right up and I am not even sure if he tasted it, lol! My daughter ordered the Steak Special ($30!) and my MIL got a sandwich also but I'm not sure what it was, but she also ordered onion rings and I stole a couple of those and they were delicious!!The server was sooo nice and she was so funny! I enjoyed her company and how attentive she was. I don't live here, but if I come visit again sometime, I'll come here again. I know she'll be back without us.

Great place good food at a reasonable price. Apparently someone can't tell the difference between real people and rednecks. Apparently, he was hatched, if he had parents or grandparents he would have learned some manners, like respecting your elders.

Went for dinner, my husband loved his steak. The food was all very good. The steak was too big to eat all of it, brought it home and had 2 more meals.

Small dining area and small business, so it makes sense that the prices are low; yet the food is amazing! I recommend the steak.

Food was not good at all, service was terrible, only 1 other customer in there, now I know why, beer was good but mugs are chipped, all 4 mugs had chips out of them, parking lot is like your going 4 wheeling, owners dont seem to give a hit. Need better cooks, bartender was nice.

Great home cooking and super friendly service. For breakfast, this local gem beats the big franchise chains hands down on price for value. Tasty omelet served promptly.

I read my earlier review and noted my typo. I meant to say if the owners are tending bar or serving, service is less than friendly. I do enjoy the food and prices.

For no-frills, friendly service and great home cooking, this place is as good as it gets. I love their breakfasts, which may be the best deal in town. They also serve lunch and dinner, with an amazingly long list of side dishes. The restaurant is a piece of Americana, a time warp in a good way. If you're in Johnstown, try Pike for breakfast.
