I'm a big fan of BBQ and this place has been on my list to try. The restaurant itself has lots of charm being in a historic home. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout our time there. I was looking for chicken on the menu that wasn't 'pulled' but the only option was chicken thighs. I went with the bbq pulled chicken sandwich with the baked beans for my side. Once the food arrived we quickly found out that it was extremely lackluster. My bbq chicken was very dry with no flavor and kept falling out of the soggy bun that it was served on. I tried all 3 sauces provided on the table to try to make it edible. The Texas sauce was by far my favorite. My side of baked beans wasn't good either. Possibly the worst bbq I've ever had. We were truly disappointed in this place and won't be back.

Absolutely awful! I would not recommend this place to anyone. We had an event there and they overcharged us for everything and the service could not have been worse. They were so rude and not helpful at all. It was almost like they didn't want to do their job or get a nice tip. Would absolutely never go back!3 days later and still not response from the owner!!

I think if I never had southern or even great bbq in my life I could imagine how someone may think this food is fairly good. We are out visiting friends and this place just isn't that good. My picture really captures my biggest problem which was the brisket. Overly cooked and just not the quality that I'm used to. Sausage had no skin on it so it's just really crumbly. Chicken was almost rubbery. Sauce on the table had a good flavor and sides were good. Restaurant had a great atmosphere and our waitress was very kind and helpful.

Pig and Fire restaurant is located in a mansion that was built in 1837. The menu lists foods such as beef brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, salmon, salads, soups, biscuits, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. The chefs make their barbecue sauces and rubs in-house, and they cook their meats over a wood-fire pit. Please see my attached photos for the menu in January 2024. My husband recommended that this restaurant offer a "sampler" of all of their meats. My husband and I ate lunch at this restaurant one time. We rate the employees' service as 5 stars. The seating hostess immediately greeted us and seated us at a spacious and clean table. Soon, our waitress introduced herself and took our order for foods and beverages. Throughout the service, the waitress made very courteous conversation, and she gave drink refills. Here are our ratings for our foods:Pear and walnut salad - 4 stars - The romaine lettuce, gorgonzola, dried cranberries, walnuts, pear slices, and walnut vinaigrette were very fresh, and I liked the combination of flavors. I did pick out some of the gorgonzola.Pig and fire poutine - 4 stars - French fries were topped with pulled pork, cheese curds, and gravy. Some of the fries were soggy, and others were crispy.Brisket - 4 stars - A few slices of brisket were tender. On the side were pickles and red onions. Apple-cider coleslaw - 4 stars - For my side, I chose coleslaw, which tasted a little spicy.Baby-back ribs - 4 stars - My husband ordered a full rack, and it was larger than what many other restaurants serve. Unfortunately, we could not finish eating it. The ribs were Texas-style and tasted a little sour, but we could add one of three sauces that tasted very good. French fries - 5 stars - My husband chose a side of fries, and they were crispy and seasoned well.Sweet-pickle potato salad - 5 stars - My husband's other side was potato salad. It was one of the most flavorful potato salads that we have ever eaten.

The Hitchhiker Whole Punch Milkshake IPA...You had me at milkshake. THE most unique and tasty IPA I've ever had. Absolutely enjoyed it! I ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich with Sour Cream/Onion/Smoked Cheddar tots and Hot Pepper Skillet cornbread. The cornbread was AMAZING! It ate more like a dessert bread, so moist and served with their honey butter with just a hint of peppers. The Tots. I expected to see the sour cream and cheese over top the tots, right? Nope. All inside so you get the flavor with every bite!!! I'm so impressed at this point. The Brisket sandwich. Local Mancini roll (grilled) loaded with perfectly seasoned and grilled chunks of brisket. Not fatty or dry, the seasoning on the brisket didn't need sauce. BUT I had to pile the pickle slices and red onion on top then add their Savannah Peach BBQ Sauce (sweet with slight heat afterburner). I'm literally typing this review as I'm eating and completely in a food zone. I really can't get over the tots! My phone is steadily autocorrecting because my fingers aren't finding a fork necessary, and my screen is getting a little narley. Hands down one of the most unique bbq experiences I've had, all washed down with a Milkshake IPA. Your have to try Pig Fire. It's a swing outside of traditional bbq that just works. At least for me it did. I'm curious to hear your take!

Absolutely delicious BBQ! The atmosphere is unique and cool, being an old mansion, with seating inside and outside on the covered porch. The menu is filled with all your BBQ favorites: ribs, brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the upcharge of smoked gouda cheese. I was pleasantly suprised that the cheese came on the side, wonderfully melted and plenty to use on my sandwich and use for dipping my chips in. The pork was juicy and tender with tons of flavor! On every table they have 3 different types of sauce. My favorite was the Peach BBQ sauce, which gave sweetness to every bite. I also combined the sauce with the Texas sauce, giving it a smokey and spicy level to accompany the sweetness. Even the chips were deliciously seasoned, becoming more tasty with the cheese dip and BBQ sauce on top. I only wish there was more of it or it came with another side to be more filling for the $17 price. Atmosphere, service, and food was wonderful and I'd absolutely come back here in the future!

Not being from this area, I'm not sure exactly how long this place has been in business, but it is A-MAZ-ING! I love a good BBQ and this hands down is the best BBQ I have had in a long time. The cornbread was so delicious and flavorful and the honey butter adds a nice touch to it to take away some of the heat of the bread. The sweet compliments it perfectly. The main course was just as tasty. I added an extra side, thinking I would need more food, but I was stuffed. There's also an outdoor patio that is rather large and a separate bar/high top area as well away from the main patio. Inside the rooms have a large amount of sitting space. Can't wait to head back here.

Overall just ok. Will break it down by pros/consPros: atmosphere - sort of a homey country vibe, the outdoor area looks really nice but we went when it was too cold to enjoy. Good happy hour with half price all drinks and 5 of the apps, which I feel like is pretty rare during post Covid times. We really enjoyed the wings - served whole, cooked to perfection and the Alabama white sauce was different and tasty. Skillet cornbread was spicy and delicious and a very large portion (too much for just the two of us so we took some home). The smoked Gouda Mac n cheese was creamy and yummy as well!Cons: our server just seemed somewhat annoyed with us, especially when my husband ordered a 2nd drink during happy hour. There is random squares of turf on the floor all over the restaurant which is an odd decor choice and my husbands shoe got stuck on it at one point. And probably the biggest negative of all was the brisket. Honestly overcooked to the point it was almost not edible (we both left some pretty big chunks on our plates). Left with a burnt taste in my mouth and disappointment. Would not recommend ordering the brisket but maybe we would've been happy had we ordered something else?
