Phillippi's Family Dining & Pizzeria

Whether dining in or taking out this spot has always been a hit for me. I love the birdville pie (extra cheese and mushroom for the win) but it is very different than your average pizza! Something that has to be tried! I love the breaded chicken salad with their homemade ranch! Love a local establishment that's been around for years and will be for years to come!

I've been here multiple times for dining and drinking. This is a cute family owed business and the staff have always been kind and efficient. They have a large menu with American staples. They are know for their Phillippi pizza. It's not my favorite but it well liked by many. I love their other pizzas though. I've had the hoagies and the Italian is my favorite. Things good stop to grab a quick dinner alone or with the family.

Been going here since I was a kid. The food is always delicious. Their birdville pie is the reason to go though! A unique blend of cheeses on a thin crust, I can eat a whole pizza myself. You might be thinking, "how unique can cheese pizza be?" well I dare you to try it. I literally can't explain it to you until you try it. I live in LOS Angeles now and every time I fly back home, I stop into Phillipi's for a Birdville Pie.

Really cute family style restaurant that we tried thanks to the Yelp reviews! We were in this area to visit a friend in the hospital-so had to find local food...that was NOT the hospital cafeteria! I had the "Birdville Pie" and my husband had the Fish Hogie-First of all-the coleslaw!! Wow! Soooo good! The perfect amount of creamy with a little bite! And crispy!! The Fish hoagie was perfect! Light breading and served piping HOT! And the perfect amount of breading on the bun! I would look forward to eating this again! The "Birdville Pie" was okay-I ordered pepperoni on it and it was overall too salty-maybe that was the problem? It was definitely cheesy and I really liked the crispy thin crust-but overall-NOT the fabulous experience that was the Fish hoagie!

The Birdville Pie is my favorite pizza of all time. Chill and basic interior. Friendly and fast service.

1/2 lb. Handmade burgers with good bacon and real cheddar cheese in a toasted bun. Really good. Fries were crispy and hot. Had a side of coleslaw which was good too. Local type place but food is tasty and staff very friendly. Oh yea we'll be back.

Food is great but very pricey. Ordered a small pizza, 6 wings, and hoagie and it was damn near $60 after tip.

You can see that this is my 4th review on Philippis Birdville Pie (which is the only original Mooney and Lefty pizza from Arnold, Pennsylvania). I waited for a very long time to update my review based on a few dozen takeout and eat-in pizzas. I'm very pleased to say they have fixed all quality issues and they are back to the vintage Mooney and Lefty recipe from Arnold, Pennsylvania.. I'm in my late 60's and estimate l've eaten over 1000 original Mooney & Lefty pizzas (Birdville Pies) in my lifetime. This is the ONLY original recipe and it's spot on delicious.
