Do you believe that we've never been here. I've been to so many small breweries but never been here. We decided to end the decade with a visit.We tried the beers and they were all good. My fave was the penn gold. I've been to the Penn Brewery on 1st Ave only. This place is large and historic. It's worth visiting. Be cool if they do tours here.

Awesome local brewery with small town bar vibes! I loved their Saint Nikolas Bosch! It was delicious! It has the malty, sweeter taste of darker beers, with the chocolate coffee like finish AND and Christmas/Holiday aftertaste! The Nutmeg/Cinnamon after taste isn't over powering and their isn't that peppermint type taste like other Holiday beers! I highly recommend it! Their Pretzels are good, but I'd recommend the larger order for two people. I prefer Haufbrahouse's pretzels, but these were also good!

Came here for a work party and I was impressed with the restaurant, the beer, and the food! They had us in our own private room, which was spacious and laid out nicely so those who wanted to eat were on one side and those who wanted to mingle while drinking were on the other. Their brewed beer is good, they had 2 different IPAs, their classic lager, and a seasonal beer. I got the classic lager, it wasn't my favorite, a little too hoppy for me, but it was still reshreshing. The food was definitely the best part. They make incredible meatballs and sausage. I probably had 3 helpings of them. The soft pretzels and cheese were delicious too, the pretzel had a little too much salt on it, but it was easy to brush off. The red velvet cake was to die for, super fresh and the frosting creamy, you need to get it! The staff was super friendly and were quick to pick up empty plates. Overall, a great experience and I recommend having parties here.

I'm not much of a beer drinker...but their ginger beer is AMAZING! The buffalo cauliflower appetizer & cheese plate were really yummy, too!

Wow! Some of the best German food we have had since visiting Munich. The beer was good, order a full flight to try it all. You may want to share with a friend - it's a large flight. The wurst and schnauzer sandwich were on point! Enjoy and have fun!!!

Always loved Penn Brewery. Indoor and outdoor setting. Bands on the regular. Great and I mean great food. Beers are good with the basic dunker being my favorite

Great German food and great, award winning beer! Chocolate Meltdown is like drinking Hershey syrup. Yum. Had the award winning Penn Dark and Bratwurst platter. Loved the mustard.

Convenient to our home. Consist at beer. Food is generally good but can be great. Salads are good. It is Pittsburgh so I gave it 4 stars. Compared to most places- very good. Compared to a hole in the wall in NM or india- 1 star. Never been to India but I gotta think it is better than Pittsburgh. After the 18 months in this place- they said I would come around. Instead- I pray for the emergence of a large auto industry Honduras or Ecuador. Never been but the food HAS to be good
