Penn Station East Coast Subs

June 25, 2023, I went to have a sandwich, I ate 1 half and left since I was in the area shopping. I'm now home and I thought in my mind maybe the extra meat and the extra cheese would be on the other half. Well it wasn't so I called the restaurant to complain, Casey the manager or whatever her name was rude I felt and I asked her to just refund me for half the sandwich, she said she would only do that if I drove 15 mins back to the restaurant n I told her absolutely not. I also advised her the one on liberty downtown makes my sandwiches perfectly when I pay for extra meat n cheese so I know the difference. I won't be returning to this location especially if someone wants to talk very condescending to a paying customer. These managers need to do better and have some training for good customer service. I can come and train them all if need be.

ahhh, another visit to the Penn Station. This time I am coming off of a long battle with stomach issues, therefore I have been eating smaller portions more often. This made me really notice that here they have different sizes for everything. I am actually not accustomed to getting different sizes when it comes to sandwiches. I got a medium sub and fries with a water. The sub was pretty much gigantic for me. I think that I should have gotten a small, which turns out that someone said the small was a six inch, the regular is a 9 inch and the large is a 12 inch? I am still not even sure, but there portions are very large even on a small sub(a tone of toppings, ingredients). The fries are also very large, almost brings to mind the Original Hot Dog Shop French fry sizes. Of course, they could never compete with those sizes, but they almost come close. Yeah, next time I will get a small fries if I don't want leftovers. Having leftovers the day after the meal was not so bad though. I think as far as gourmet subs go, if such a thing exists anymore, these guys do it well. I would ask for no mayo on my classic Italian next time though. I have never had, or wanted mayo on an Italian sub.

Coworker recommended this spot to me and I'm happy he did as I probably wouldn't have went there on my own with it being a chain. Friendly staff and good subs every time I go there. I don't understand the price with the large sub though. Small sub is 6 inches $7.29 Reg sub is 9 inches and $10.49 ($3.20 more for three inches, cool) Large sub is 12 inches and $13.99(Those 3 inches now cost $3.50, huh?)It talks me out of getting the large every time.

This place is a breath of fresh air in Pittsburgh. Service is so welcoming and has some really leadership behind the counter like clock work. Thank you!! Food is always convenient and consistent. Love the vibe of the staff here.

The cheese steak was EVERY thing.The break was the greatest contribution to the flavor.The Hot Spicy Italian was delicious also.Both sandwiches were melt in your mouth delectable. Sign me up as a new phone. Time for a nap.The service was amazing at the Pittsburg location on Liberty. 1 star missed due to the unclean cash register. But this is something that can be fixed they were busy today with orders fro Hoop Group Pit Jam.

I have been here many times and they consistently provide above average subs. I typically steer toward their hot ones, the chicken parm being my favorite. You review the menu and order at a counter, then pay at the end of the line. You can't really see, but they are making your subs on the other side of the counter in front of you. Your sub size options are S/M/L. They offer fresh house cut fries that go great with the malt vinegar they provide. Some other things they showcase are their chocolate chip cookies and their lemonade. They can also provide catering/boxed lunches. One downside if they are alittle busy is the wait. It's not like subway, where they churn you out. Even though I ordered immediately when I walked in, it was still about 15 minutes for my food to come out. That said, the cashier was nice and apologetic and it is SO MUCH better than subway. They have a promotion going on through 4/30/20 where if you donate $2 for Down syndrome awareness, you get a free small sub with any purchase larger than $2. Good for Down syndrome awareness, good for my pocket and belly!

This place pleasantly surprised me-- first time here. I ordered a club grilled with fries. Portions didn't disappoint. The sandwich had plenty of meats and cheese, and the fresh cut fries are crispy. I'd definitely come back here again and try a cheesesteak or the club sandwich as a wrap.

You can see you sub being made fresh :)and ingredients seemed to be fresh for me so no complaints only thing I didn't like was that they give you more lettuce than meat every time I don't have the time to wait for it to be cooked in front of me but it's good this is usually my treat to myself after a long week

i didn't even say anything as soon as I walked in the girl with the red hair said "it's goin be a whole cause it's just us 2" very rude as she took my order she tapped on the register with a pen like I just walked into her living room uninvited! I'll never come back just because of her!!! the 2 gentlemen however one with a goatee and one with dreadlocks was very nice and apologized for her behavior she needs to find a new career!
