Pelegrino's Pizza & Pasta

Since 2020, I have ordered several meals from this casual restaurant. I have placed my orders through the restaurant's website, and the delivery drivers have always arrived at my house on time and spoken politely. Here are my reviews for the foods:Hand-tossed pizza - 5 stars - My husband greatly enjoys this hand-tossed crust with a topping of prosciutto.Greek salad - 4 stars - This salad had a few too many olives, but I easily picked them out. The lettuce, onions, feta cheese, and dressing were fresh.Italian hoagie - 4 stars - The crust was warm from the oven and had a moist center and crispy exterior. The filling--ham, pepperoni, capicola, prosciutto, hard salami, sopressata, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and provolone--were generous.Chicken wings - 5 stars - The skin was crispy, and the meat was tender. The level of heat in the sauce was mild as I had requested.Baklava - 4 stars - The walnuts, honey, and cinnamon tasted sweet, and the top crust was crispy.Tiramisu - 4 stars - I never drink coffee, but I ordered this coffee-flavored dessert because I had not eaten it in years. I did enjoy the taste.Crispy chicken salad - 5 stars - This salad was so large that it filled up three dinner plates! I liked the fresh lettuce, sliced eggs, and crispy chicken pieces.Calzone - 4 stars - I ordered the build-your-own option so I could select my exact ingredients. When you order, be sure to request pizza sauce inside and marinara sauce on the side.Breaded zucchini - 4 stars - The zucchini slices were large, covered in bread crumbs, and fried. They were not too greasy.Baked lasagna - 4 stars - The noodles were not soggy, the meat sauce tasted good, and the right amount of ricotta, provolone, romano, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses was included.Pizza rolls - 4 stars - I ordered the Hawaiian flavor, and the bread rolls had a good mix of ham, pineapple, and cheeses inside.New York Cheesecake - 5 stars - This cheesecake had a delicious crust, cheesy filling, and strawberry sauce.Thin-crust pizza - 5 stars - The crust was thin but still supported a generous amount of sausage and pepperoni on one side and green peppers and onions on the other side.Chicken strips - 4 stars - I had expected the chicken strips to be a plain flavor, but they were actually slightly spicy. Their breading was crispy, and the chicken was juicy.Mozzarella sticks - 4 stars - The cheese was a non-gooey stick, but it tasted good and was surrounded by a crispy breading.Jalapeño poppers - 4 stars - They contained the right amount of jalapeño pepper, cheese filling, and crispy breading.Mac 'n cheese bites - 5 stars - The noodles were neither soggy nor hard, the right amount of cheese was used for a nice flavor, and the breaded exterior was crispy.Greek gyro - 2 stars - I had requested that the restaurant omit tomatoes, but they included tomatoes. My husband picked out the tomatoes. He ate all of this gyro, probably because he was hungry, but he described it as "not good."Beer-battered fish - 2.5 stars - Part of the fish was hard, and part was soggy, probably from the tomatoes. The flavor was OK.Caesar salad - 3.5 stars - The Caesar salad contained fresh lettuce, large croutons, a good amount of cheese, and dressing on the side. Good but typical.Chicken parmesan - 1 star - My husband ate NONE of this entree. The chicken was in small chunks and was mixed into the spaghetti. We had expected a large piece of crispy chicken sitting on top of the spaghetti.Cheese fries - 4 stars - The fries came in a large serving, were crispy, and were covered in a good amount of cheese.Turkey hoagie - 4 stars - This hoagie had crispy bread and fresh turkey and vegetables and was served warm.

April 20th, 2024Question: if you order food directly from the restaurant website for delivery and it says 30-40 minutes, how long after that would you call the place? Now if you do call and get "placed on hold," and by placing on hold I mean setting the phone down, hear them talking about forgetting to deliver your order, then they say "oh it's on its way now." What are the chances that your food is still going to be warm if it's already 20 minutes past the 40 minute the "estimated delivery?" Then they show up 15 minutes after that time... Winner if you guessed cold and soggy. The pizza cheese was already hard. It wasn't even warm. The bread on the hoagie was soggy because it was wrapped in paper for who knows how long. So I called back and just said hey, i called a little bit ago and my food was just delivered and it's cold. The guy acts like he doesn't know and is playing dumb. I said listen, I overheard you talking before and you said you forgot about my order. I order from you all of the time but never do delivery. It's always great, this is not that. So he says they will remake it. It's too late for that now as it's 9pm, plus would it ever get here? I told them to come back and get their food and to please refund me. He said he will refund me. What are the chances that I will actually be refunded? If you guessed they didn't refund you'd be correct. I waited to post this until after I never was refunded. Additionally there was not even an apology.

Honestly not bad, ordered it over the phone. Friendly employee. Even told me about specials they had ! The pizza had crunch , good amount of sauce and cheese. Would definitely try again another day!

The food here is pretty good! I believe they used to have a small location on McKnight Road (near Target and those shops) but somewhat recently moved to a slightly bigger place (although still kind of small). Not too much room to sit down. I ordered the cheese calzone.When I picked up the order, the guy was pretty nice and relatively quickly got me my food. There were more workers than I thought (recent expansion). Decently clean.The calzone itself was really quite good. For the price, the portion was about what I'd expect, maybe even a little more. The cheese was pretty high quality. Great quality bread and a nice portion of bread to cheese. Very tasty garlic topping.I also really liked the side tomato sauce, although I would have liked a slightly larger portion of sauce (and it was kind of cold). Very chunky tomato sauce with a nice bit of spice and salt.All in all, this place is quite a good pizza shop. Good portion, decent enough price, and quite a good tomato sauce. I enjoyed the classic cheese calzone.

Great pizza great delivery they did forget my 2 liter but the manager brought it out within 5 minutes of the delivery. They are busy so plan accordingly. For Ross township and not being a local this place is awesome

The driest most uninteresting pizza I've ever had. I ordered the chicken pesto. Couldn't taste any ingredients. Just a dry mouthful of yuck.

They sent us raw chicken fingers. Called and they replaced, but still no. That is baby town frolics level nonsense.

Been a customer for 20 years... new up charges on drink and food menu too much to handle... will no longer recommend or be a future customer. Management unresponsive and downright rude... steer clear

The pizza (half cheese and half pepperoni) was very good. The sauce had a good flavor and wouldn't hesitate to order again.We also had bacon, cheese French fries. Wasn't bad but the fries were little undercooked (I like my fries with a crunch) will not order that again. Also ordered a steak hoagie and will update after eating that later.

Best salmon salad ever !! You can't beat the price , and the workers are always so so nice. I now have my coworkers obsessed with it now too
