Palmieri's Restaurants

For my party of 4 this was a very expensive DINER!Noisy. Overly friendly and loud. Food was prime rib: small beef mostly fat and a baked potato with tiny plastic containers of sour cream and horse radish sauce. Bread was tasteless. Local junk. Martinis were unremarkable as was the wine served in red colored glasses!? Paper advertisement placemats. "Convenience Charge" for use of a credit card in the 21st century! No usable internet to share references with other table guests.Find a restaurant that puts the guests first and where the food is worthy of a return visit. OR eat at one of the many other memorable diners in the PGH.

Good place. Hidden off 286. Hearty salads, great wedding soup. Chicken Parmesan is awesome. Full bar. Cozy atmosphere. Visit frequently. Worth your time. Priced right. Better than Puglianos.

Last night my family and I went to palmieris staff was friendly and accomidating our food was fantastic the server was accomidating and friendly we loved the inside of restaurant we're definitely going back hats off to palmieris we give the restaurant 5 stars

Love this place! To us it is John's, not Palmieri's. All the dishes are nicely prepared. Never disappointed!

We live visiting local businesses & try to do so often this restaurant was the worst we have been to. Took almost 20 minutes to get drinks. Almost another 20 to get appetizers.Took almost 40 minutes to get our dinner we had dried out angel hair pasta in our penne kids meal b/c they reuse pans w/out cleaning them between dishes (as told by the staff). The chicken sandwich was dry. The meatballs were bland. The chicken Marsala made me sick to my stomach within 20 or so minutes. The calf liver was rubbery. The potatoes were t done. We didn't receive our baked potatoes until we were already done eating. My husband got medium rare prime rib which was their special - it was the worst. Massively overcooked. The service was incredibly slow but I think she was helping to cook the food as well.

Good food - TERRIBLE service - we waited forever for our food, and then again to pay for our food - no rush to go back!

Been here a couple times now, food is generally pretty good, service is so-so... but last time we sat at the bar and the service was bad, despite us being the only two patrons. Soup was so hot it was inedible for over 10 minutes til it cooled...seriously downright dangerous to your mouth. The final straw is all the trump paraphernalia you start to notice as you sit, ignored, at the bar. I can't eat with maga garbage staring at me.

Coming in today early so wasn't to busy. Decided to eat at the bar for happy hour. Good specials on drinks and the bartender Donna was pleasant and very helpful. Had the prime rib special and the prime rib was great. Unfortunately they only have it on Thursdays.

I just had occasion to attend a private birthday party at Palmieri's and, I have to say, I've never been more impressed. The party was in the main dining room as they don't serve lunch on Saturday. The setup was perfect for the number of people who attended. John, the Manager, and his staff were personable, professional and made it a very enjoyable afternoon. The main courses (four) were excellent. Plentiful and hot. What I really liked were the salads because I'm a salad person and there was a very good selection. The price (from what I understand) was reasonable and everyone raved about their experience.

We had my husband's funeral luncheon here this week. The venue was perfect: private, comfortable, and nice. The staff was very friendly & helpful. There was plenty of delicious food and it was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Palmieri's downstairs room for funeral lunches.
