Went there for a lunch date with my wife. It was a quiet place with plenty of parking around the restaurant. The decor inside was simple and yet elegant and very representative of the Mexican culture and style. Ordered the vegetarian plate with chilli relleno, chalupa and enchilada and a shrimp quesadilla. Perfect portion for both of us. Yes, our plates were clean when we finished. The service staff was very very courteous and paid attention to every detail, like no ice in our waters, beer in the bottle with no glasses and extra spoons. Only what we missed was tofu for the vegetarian plate. No big deal, but would be nice to substitute some of the cheese with tofu. We will be back!

Came to Washington, PA for work trip and ate dinner here with coworker. The service was good, cute lil Mexican restaurant. The food was pretty authentic and good. The salsa was really nice not spicy. The chicken fajitas and Al pastor tacos is what we got and it was good. Would come back here again.

With family in Morgantown, WV, we are always looking for spots between there and Pittsburgh to meet up for dinners. Several members of the family frequently request this spot right off of I-79 in Washington, PA.It's is a very unassuming, no-frills place with a big menu. My sister-in-law loves the tacos al pastor and says nowhere does them better. My mom loves their battered, crunchy french fries. I love that, like many Mexican places, there are a good number of vegetarian options for me. If you order a drink it is very generously sized, the chips and salsa are also generous and seemingly never ending, unlike many places where these come at an upcharge. Service is super fast and helpful and prices are fair. It's nothing especially fancy but they're doing a lot right here. It all keeps my family coming back and, as they are consistently doing a pretty solid business, we are clearly not alone.

Walked across the parking lot for dinner from the hotel. Seated right away and served the typical chips and salsa. As stated by others, traditional Mexican decor and menu options and service. Reasonably priced menu options and combinations. Ordered a combination plate with taco, enchilada and chalupa. Also had a medium margarita, which was more like an extra large 'Rita and turned out to cost more than my entree! Fried ice cream was a tasty end to the meal.

First of all, don't trust Eden M's review. She doesn't know what she is writing about the food. I've been going here for years, probably when they first opened. They have never disappointed me. It's authentic Mexican food, not a chain. Food is great and the staff is super. Maybe for those that write negative comments, it's not about the establishment but more about yourself. Those individuals need to stick with Taco Bell than an authentic Mexican restaurant.

I stopped here for lunch with a coworker on a random weekday around 1:00 PM. I ordered the lunch special of chicken chimichanga with a side of rice. I enjoyed the meal and would not object to coming back again for lunch in the future. The chimichanga itself was delightfully crispy. It did have a dark sauce drizzled on top which carried a unique but still pleasant flavor. The chicken inside was moist and flavorful. On the side, the rice was pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant. Nothing special, but not lacking in any way either. At the time we were there (1:00 PM on a weekday) the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated right away and our server was prompt and attentive. I enjoyed the chips which came with 2 choices of salsa, a mild and a spicier version. The restaurant is well decorated and seemed mostly clean. It is perhaps a bit dated, but everything seemed appropriate. They were playing Spanish language music on the overhead. Overall, this is not a bad casual Mexican restaurant. I believe they have some other locations in the area, but I would definitely come back here again in the future.

Old Mexico is the best. Authentic, cheap Mexican food with the nicest staff. Portions are big, food comes quick and is always good. No frills, but none are needed! If you want good mexican in the Washington area, Old Mexico is the place for you

We stopped in close to closing and just had chips and salsa which were good! There was an inpromptu show in the bar area by a band whose show was cancelled. The servers were attentive but we ran out of time to have dinner because we didn't want to make them stay open late. Location right next to a hotel is nice.
