Observatory Hill Deli

It was great to see a new deli open right in my area.I went in the other day and was greeted immediately by two very friendly people behind the counter.I ordered a turkey and swiss on rye with mustard lettuce and tomato.The sandwich size was good and tasted good as well.The staff again was super friendly and you could see that they really meant it.I would recommend The Observatory Deli for all that are near by it is worth the stop.I will definitely be back again.

I'm very excited about our new Deli in Observatory Hill. The staff is very enthusiastic and welcoming. My Italian Hoagie was a good portion size and tasted great. The sandwiches are all made custom to your order, with lots of great options.Right now, the menu is very basic, and will hopefully expand. Maybe more of a New York Deli vibe, or homemade baked goods like you find at the Pear and Pickle.

This little deli sandwich shop just opened here in Observatory Hill. Ohhh we needed this!They have hot or cold sandwiches, The menu also offers tomato bisque soup which is for my next visit Chips and assorted bottle sodaIt's a little shop with no seating but they do have high counters on each side you can stand at I visited on 7/29 their first regular day. Off to a good start. Lots of folks there to give it a tryI ordered a Swiss on marbled ryeService very friendly The good the sandwich was nice but it was on white bread and they forgot the tomato & lettuceBut since I was already home I decided to eat the tasty sandwich (grilled cheese is always my fav)Tasty pickle spears and two little peppers were packed into my bag that's a nice addition.This neighborhood is worth coming to visitParking is easy there is a public lot right around the corner And less the a mile away is beautiful Riverview Park

Pretty solid. Had an Italian grinder/sub/hoagie/whatever. Plenty of meat, decent amount of veg too. What they don't have is hot peppers, which I don't see how you can do an Italian sandwich without hots. They do mayo instead. It's better without mayo.

Stopped by on their first day and ordered an Italian and an xl Italian. Both were tasty. There was some confusion as the Italian states it's 6" and the price listed for a 6" is steep but we received a 12". As this was there first day I know some kinks are being worked out. The board menu and paper menu also didn't align, exactly. I wouldn't have known the hoagies came with brown mustard except the cashier mentioned it, which I appreciated. Following their social media they have a special of the day which always sound good. This is a nice addition to the neighborhood. Hopefully, hours will expand a little later for dinner options :-)

Just visited Observatory Hill Deli for the first time. I live on the street so it's very convenient. I got the end of summer special which was a hot dog, pop and a bag of chips for $5. The hot dog was excellent and the bun was a pretzel bun which I liked. I also got a deli sandwich with turkey, ham and cheese. This was $7.99 and the sandwich was huge, so definitely worth it. Also most of the toppings are no extra charge so you can really load up. The people working there were very friendly and they told me they are going to start serving breakfast next week. Can't wait to try that! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was great. I ordered an Italian hoagie served warm.

What a great little addition to our little Observatory Hill neighborhood! Places like this are what build great little neighborhoods. The deli is cute, the food was very good and the owners are welcoming. Please support this family run business. I had the corn beef on rye, it was a big sandwich that was really good, high quality stuff! I would like to see them add to the menu but they are off to a great start.

First time here. Didn't get anything fancy, 6" turkey & Swiss hoagie with lettuce, tomato, and light mayo. It was very tasty. I think the bread was from Mancinis, anyway it was very good. Turkey was shaved, which I prefer. Drawbacks? No blackened chicken sub or sandwich, selection of soda (Pepsi, Mt. Dew, ice tea, water) could be improved. None of those will prevent a return visit. They have some hot subs I'd like to try ... I was pressed for time.
