My wife and I stayed in Room 5 for 5 nights. We would both describe our experience as wonderful. The Inn is comfortable, clean, quiet, and overall a great place to stay. You get breakfast in the morning that was great. The beds are very nice. The basement has a pooltable and a full bar. Workout room and steam room as well. We highly recommend the Oakmont Inn.

The rooms are definitely beautiful and spacious. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. However, this is the second time that I have stayed here and the second time that there has been a loud party until midnight.Some suggestions: 1. Tell the party host that after 9:00 or 10:00 PM (your call) that the festivities must adjourn to the very nicely decorated basement. 2. Don't put the guests who are not in the festivitiies in room #1 right over the dining room and patio. 3. Inform any guests who are not in the party group that there will be a party so they can decide to stay here or not. 4. When your customer contacts you to inform you about the noise do something about it, as in suggestion 1.

We rented the entire Inn for the weekend of our daughter's wedding. What a wonderful place! The rooms were very clean and spacious, the living and dining rooms were very nice, and they have a beautiful back porch for sitting and having an afternoon glass of wine. There was plenty of food for breakfast, and the host, Glenn, pampered us more than we deserved. The exercise room and game room in the basement were top notch. The steam room was an added bonus. Although we didn't make use of it, there is a nice backyard, so bring your cornhole, bocce, or croquet set. Highly recommended!

Tremendous B&B just steps away from historic Oakmont CC. The rooms are comfortable and cozy and the downstairs area is worth the stay! Two TVs, wet bar, poker table, pool table, steam room and a gym? Just perfect. This is a MUST when coming to Oakmont and playing courses in the area. 10/10

We stayed there for two nights. It was a wonderful experience. I'd like to add one negative comment to balance the review but I can't think of anything.The service was fabulous. We even had some relatives, who were staying in a local motel, come to visit and the hostess offered everyone coffee or tea. My son stayed in the handicapped room on the first floor and loved the shower. We rented a Durango ( not on purpose) that was difficult for my son to get into because it was so far off the ground. They loaned us one of the steps from the workout room for our stay. It's a little pricey but worth every penny.

This inn quickly became my favorite destination when I am in the Oakmont area. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The dogs make me feel right at home and are allways there to welcome you. The breakfast is fantastic!! I love staying at Doone's inn.

My step-mom and bridesmaids recently hosted a bridal shower for me at Doone's Inn. The Inn is simply exquisite. It is beautifully decorated and there is even an original piece of glass work by Dale Chihuly on display. We enjoyed a lighter lunch of chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, wedding soup, fruit kabobs and cake and cookies for desert. The service was impeccable - the servers knew when to replenish empty glasses but were not intrusive. Following the shower, we received excellent feedback from our guests - someone said it was the best shower she's ever attended. Doone's Inn worked hard to make sure that the afternoon was truly a delight!

It did not meet my expectations. We asked for room #1 then put into room #2, two days before arriving we were put into room #3. At first glance the room looked alright. There were no curtains only blinds so it was very bright in the room at night. I had to kill 3 stinkbugs that landed on my pillow. The towels wete scratchy the first night but we got fluffy ones the second night. The king bed was two twins put together and you could feel the springs. Breakfast was alright but not chef style and we were not offered second helping. The inn needs to work on upgrading the rooms.
