Nuzzaci Pizza Shoppee

The pizza here is extremely thick, I'm talking at least an inch and a half thick crust that resembles a kitchen sponge, and pretty much tastes like one, too. There's not much topping on it for how much crust you get... the ratio is just not good. Will pass next time. I guess you have to be a local who grew up on it to enjoy it...

Boo. This place is literally just around the corner from where I live and that's been really exciting for me. I'm constantly wanting to stop by, but only seem to think about it while I take my dog for a walk, always after business hours. One fortuitous walk a few days ago, however, fell within operating times and I, hungry and ready for some pizza, finally stopped in to see what the hype was about. I was met by a man whose personality and customer service left much to be desired. I explained that I was out without my wallet, but wanted to stop in and check it out before running home for funds and circling back around to place an order. Said man was curt, impatient, and seemingly just over me. I'm...sorry? In an industry saturated with the ease of online ordering and the variety of major pizza chains, to keep up, one would think that you'd want your service to be satisfactory at the least. Instead, it was hard to shake the feeling that I wasn't even wanted there. Sure, you could argue that their food is what it's about, but is it really? Yes, that's a major player, perhaps even the whole team, but the management is what keeps that afloat, keeps customers coming back, or hell, even there at all. Perhaps you rely on the repeat business of loyal, existing customers, to which I say "that could have been me!"But excuse me for wanting to trouble you with my business, that won't be an issue in the future. The positive feedback on their food isn't enough to lure me away from my dominos app and back to that cranky old man.

The same wonderful amazing pizza as when I graduated from Monessen high school over 40 years ago. Don't bother getting pepperoni because it's so scarce you can't taste it. But the cheese is good enough. Delicious! Reasonable! I paid $18 for a tray of pepperoni plus a half a tray of cheese. The place looks exactly the same as 1974. I miss Mary though, she was the owner back then. Run don't walk to order this delicious, tasty, spongy treat!

The best pizza ever I eat it every time I come home to visit. It is one of the most unique pizza you will ever eat. The crust is original and fantastic. The pepperoni is awesome. My favorite is a pepperoni with extra sauce and extra cheese.

I finally got to try this pizza that I've been hearing about! It was SO good. It is not your normal pizza. At first, I had a hard time calling it pizza, but now I crave it and no other pizza! The crust is not even crust, it's like a sponge. It's homemade Italian bread with sauce and cheese. Not crusty, which I do like the best in pizza, but it's just as good! Try it before they close because they may be closing by 2016.

First time diner, good stuff. Thick, light dough with mild sauce and good cheese. Will be back.

Always inconvenient. They are closed even when they are supposed to be open. They run out of pizza and just close up shop. Cash only. This place is a pain in the rear. No pizza is worth the cave man-like customer service.

This sponge like crust is one of a kind. Nuzzaci's has been a valley favorite for years. The sauce is excellent and the cheese is good too. I ask to have mine a bit sloppy. The quality of the pizza is amazing and the price is just right. You have to try it at least once. **Note: They only have carry-out and no delivery.
