Number 1 Chinese Restaurant

This is not the best but not bad. Number One really is not. The best in town is Hu Nan, but this may be second. It usually has a lunch buffet. They also have a menu. It seems most people get the buffet. It's about $7 for all you can eat. They have a good size dining area. It's not a huge place, but there's usually enough room. They get busiest at lunch because of the buffet and that's what everyone wants. It also has a regular menu that you can order from. The Mixed Vegetables With Bean Curd is about $8. This is a good portion for its price. It will help going there with right expectations. It's not fancy but it's cheap. There's much worse.

I have to say that this is the best Chinese spot I've ever been to while in the Pittsburgh area!! Highly recommend!! I'm in love with their curry chicken.

This was by far the worst Chinese meal & service I have ever had. My wife & I decided to dine in & should have turned around as soon as I went in the door there was a rancid smell!! The fried rice was lukewarm at best & looked like it had some kind of food coloring in it. Not once did they come & check if we needed anything else after bringing our meals, which one was brought out 10 minutes after the first. The No. 1 Chinese restaurant was only No. 1 for the No. 1 worst meal I've ever had. The only plus was the egg rolls weren't too bad. Was my first time there & definitely my LAST!!!!

Very consistent, always good. Always give a time frame of about 10 minutes & food is ready when we get there. I like to eat in or take out, clean & friendly staff. My kids love the general Tso's, they say it's the best.

They charge you extra for fried rice without telling you, and are usually at least 10 minutes late for pick up. They won't tell you how long it will take or how much is costs prior to waiting and overpaying unless you really badger them. And even in doing that might make no difference because their English is so bad. They just point to the receipt. Every time I have been there it has been a frustrating experience. Their food tastes good, but to me it's not worth it. you can get many of the same dishes and portions, with extra sides for $4 less, and with less hassle, and on time at Hong Kong which is 60 seconds from here. I will never make this mistake again...

So hot, so fresh, so good! We got sesame chicken, lo mein, crab Rangoon, wonton and egg drop soup. It's all amazing! I will definitely come back for more

Best Chinese food in town. The lunch buffet starts about 1115 mon - fri it's small but good. Parking is limited but there is an extra lot on back.

Best in town! We have been ordering No1 since they first opened in the K Mart plaza store. Very nice people, excellent food.

Best General Tso's chicken I have ever had. Very decent prices, they have a small but really good lunch buffet Monday through Saturday. Only complaint is that they can't keep it stocked up when they are busy. The owner Bing is really friendly and very nice. It s our favorite take out place. Not sure what another reviewer was talking about with having a hassle every visit, I have been going there since they opened and were out by the Ft Steuben mall and have never had a problem.
