North Park

This is a well maintained, rather large, county park. There are lots of recreational activities, including kayaking, biking, pickleball, and hiking. The hiking trails are extraordinary, featuring many species of unusual birds. For example, the Veery nests in North Park, but nowhere else in the County.

Always have a wonderful day when you can spend time in North Park. Plenty of trails, paths, benches & Pavillions. The lake is beautiful to walk or bike as is the Pie Traynor loop. The park has something for everyone.

North park is great! Pickleball courts could be resurfaced as actual hard courts (but there are 8 so who really cares). Tennis courts are nice. Good safe walking areas. Fishing is mid, but it's overfished and popular so it's expected. Just overall a beautiful park.

We have had family picnics as well as weddings at North park ! It's a very well maintained park with beautiful picnic areas and places to sit for an afternoon and enjoy the outdoors. It's a friendly park for humans and animals - highly recommend you check out North Park for all that it has to offer with many ways to get to the park from either side of the city.

This is a generic review of North Park as the huge, regional park. There is an activity for everyone available. The park is well maintained, safe (from what I can tell), has a nice friendly group of outdoor enthusiasts -- ponds, lakes, covered areas for picnics, easy access from all directions.... a wonderful place to be when the weather is a tad cooler than today! Fall will transform the park into a beauty.f8 and be there.

I have been going to North Park for many years. Great place to either use one of the groves, dine at OTB or Cadence, walk or bike ride around the park, etc. Recently, I have discovered the numerous trails that are in various areas of the park. They are anywhere from easy to very strenuous. Good for mountain biking, hiking, or running. Many spots to start from. Allegheny County Park Trails app is good to see some of the routes. Also, the administration office in the park has trail maps that are better for giving landmarks for the trails and also has some listed that aren't in the app.
